Assassin’s Creed Codename Jade, the smartphone-based open world spin-off set in ancient China, has been officially named – and it won’t surprise you that it’s simply dropped a word to become Assassin’s Creed Jade. The title, officially announced during German convention Gamescom, was confirmed alongside a new gameplay trailer, embedded above.
The new footage may impress you: while it’s clearly not quite up to the same standard as, say, the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Mirage – it does still look like a full-scale game! With big budget mobile titles like Genshin Impact proving popular on consoles, it’ll be interesting to see if Ubisoft eventually sees the value in porting this free-to-play project to PlayStation as well.

Definitely want to give it a go. I've loved Origins,. Odyssey, and Valhalla so another game is good with me.
Obviously I would have preferred it on console but there are pretty good ways to play mobile games more easily now so not too bothered.
This is definitely getting the Liberations treatment with a HD port in the next few years. Crazy how far mobile gaming has come
It does seem to a standard that it would be ripe for porting to consoles. It remains to be seen how much of mobile gaming’s seedier side will carry over. Odyssey’s power levels serve as a rather easy way to incorporate gacha mechanics.
I would love to see this on console. I rarely play on mobile.
Wait to see how exploitative it is first though...
This is probably the setting I wanted most for an AC game, but mobile gaming is not for me, so I'm hoping for a port or another console game in the same setting somewhere down the line.
I wonder how this will work with touch controls.
Those "gameplay" trailers that show no actual gameplay are very confusing to me. It looks slick, but I would like to see UI, menus, well, anything that could show how the controls work.
Why is he American?
@AK4tywill The character is fully customizable.
I don't know if my old smartphone can handle this. Let's pray for a console port too.
Hopefully they will port to console when they decide that numbers of players on mobile is too low. I mean just look at the success of age Genshin Impact on console.
I'm gutted that the Chinese era Assassins creed game is mobile only.
Would have loved assassinating Dong Zhuo and Lu Bu on the PS5
Played the beta for this and it was actually very good.
Definitely looking forward to the official release.
@AndyKazama I’m pretty sure they still only have historical figures assassinated that were actually assassinated in real life. Probably why they tend to make up targets in the newer games.
Damn. I need a new phone. Setting alone has me more hyped than Mirage.
@AndyKazama
As a big DW and RotTK fan I would have loved that too, but I think it's not set in the Three Kingdoms era is it?
I really hope this gets either a console or PC version. Game looks great! I just don't like gaming on my phone.
Wasted effort putting any large games on mobile. I cant understand people who Love mobile games and prefer to play on a tiny screen vs a tv. Just doesnt make sense to me... Again, wasted effort in what could have been an amazing game.
Assassins Creed: Jade Raymond
Will it support controllers? I can't play with using touch controls.
@Mr_B021 Use your DualShock or DualSense, or grab a Backbone or similar
It looks cool. A pity it's mobile only.
Looking forward to play this on my Logitech G-Cloud.
@Lup even tho, just use magic as the excuse.
