Overwatch 2's Invasion event kicks off tomorrow, 10th August, and we got a pair of new trailers showing off both Season 6's inclusions and an animated short featuring Sojourn. Like the rest of Blizzard's animated offerings, the latter's of particularly high quality and serves to expand the overarching Overwatch universe.
Season 6 has been hyped quite a bit by Blizzard, and, completely unrelated, former rapper and current Hollywood hero John Cena has been concerned about the implications of the Invasion event for a while now. Solar-powered new Support Hero Illari looks like a blast and maps Survasa, New Junk City should serve to spice things up, alongside a new permanent game mode called Flashpoint.
What do you think of Overwatch 2's Season 6 update, Invasion? Tempted to jump back in? Let us know in the comments section below.

I never played Overwatch 2 but it looks like Overwatch with a annoying Battle pass I'm kinda disappointed.
@Flaming_Kaiser don't do it, Overwatch 2 is Overwatch 1 but worst, they literally took content away from the game and sold it like new lol
@GymratAmarillo Thats a pity the game was fun but the monetization didn't sit well with me and now it's even worse. I would rather pay €60 and have a normal game.
@Flaming_Kaiser What's funny is that's the exact reason Blizzard themselves gave for Overwatch 1 not being a free to play game when it launched. I guess they could only resist going for that f2p money for so long.
@Flaming_Kaiser the game was literally better with loot boxes. It was also better with 6v6 and without that stupid push mode. I honestly wish we'd get vanilla servers or last state servers.
Kind of with the new character wasn't another support character, seeing as the last one was a support character lol.
I do agree with everyone though that this game needs more content. Them cutting the single player content and just doing it in chunks is a huge mistake.
@NotSoCryptic @WhensDinner It's a pity because the game was good with singleplayer content and removal of loot boxes I would have gladly payed full price.
But with the limited time to collect stuff and monetization I totally lost interest. I found out I was playing not for fun but to unlock stuff. I was clearly being influenced by FOMO.
When I started spending money I sold the game and decided to move on its quite shocking the monetization got worse. But after the mobile Diablo Blizzard lost all restraint such a pity for such a fantastic developer.
She comes out today yet we haven't been told a single thing about her? What even are her abilities?
@GymratAmarillo Thanks for the heads up.
