It may feel like winter here in the UK right now, but things are heating up once more in the PS Store’s ongoing summer sale. Sony has unleashed a second wave of savings overnight, with more than 2,000 games and expansion packs included – many of which are at least 50 per cent off. This includes games like Sonic Frontiers at £27.49/$29.99 and FIFA 23 at £17.49/$17.49.
We’ve compiled a handful of highlights below:
- Far Cry 6: £14.99/$19.99
- God of War Ragnarok: £42.59/$49.69
- Marvel’s Midnight Suns: £27.99/$27.99
- One Piece Odyssey: £35.99/$35.99
- PowerWash Simulator: £15.99/$19.99
- Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves: £17.99/$19.99
Obviously this is in addition to all of the existing summer sale items, making for a pretty robust set of discounts overall. You can find the full list of deals through here. The offers will expire on 16th August, so you’ve got a little time to browse through the full selection and decide which games and add-ons you want to buy. Has anything taken your fancy at all?

I wont be supporting sony new "discounts" tactics.. Now they have learned to sell the "deluxe" versions at a discounted price of 60£ lol. Rather to buy the CD version of the standard version for 50% the digital price. I guess they didn't learn anything with whats combing for them with MS acquisitions.
Yup, got the notification on Dredge and Monster Menu going on sale from the PS app, so it would seem that Sony has launched their assault on my wallet a day earlier than usual.
Usually, the prices on Amazon tend to match the sales. I might pickup God of war ragnarok someday if it drops low enough.
I think I have spent record amount on games this year for PSN. I made at least 18 full price purchases this year so far. But at the same time as someone who has played over 550 games on PS it's getting really hard to find new releases that catches my eyes.
I saw a game in the sale was 1p and can't stop wondering about it... Do Sony get a percentage? How many are they hoping to sell? Will they make enough to buy a round of beer? ... The mind boggles.
Also: is it cheaper in the Turkey store?
Picked up a couple of games in the first half of the sale...did see Dark Pictures Anthology Devil in Me was 50% off,but when I looked back at PS Prices on the previous entries noted they'd been a bit more budget friendly so might reluctantly hold off. 🤔
Bit like Wonderboy Anniversary Collection is definitely on my wishlist but at full price $70AU will need a deeper discount that 30%.... Cotton Fantasy looks wallet friendly enough though.
I got Ragnarok for £28.99 brand new from Currys a few months back in a sale.
Sonic Frontiers is also cheaper physical from Amazon, it currently £24.95 and I have seen it cheaper previously than that
Just purchased Tales of Arise. I've never played a game from the series but it's been on my list for a while.
@Robocod a couple of them are on ps plus extra.
Miles Morales at €30. Time to pull the trigger.
@sorteddan lol I'm curious. What game is it?
@Rhaoulos Yeah I noticed this for Gotham Knights, down to less than £20 on the PS Store and £17 on Amazon. Still haven't pushed the button on what seems like a better than average game that got panned critically because 1) it wasn't an Arkham quality game and 2) launched with serious performance issues.
Stars points also a consideration these days of course...
I would bet on this site there are more Europeans than British or Americans, but no Euro prices are to be seen
I will give Oxide Room a dabble at £8
@Bamila
At 552 games played, are their any PS exclusives you haven't played lol.
Currently playing Alan Wake Remastered.
Resi 3 remake for less than £9. Why the hell not
@Netret0120 I love Alan Wake. Finished it in 360, back compat when had an Xbox one and now on ps5. Great story and atmosphere. Can't wait for the 2nd
@Netret0120 yes, still didn't come around to play last Ratchet and Clank, Bloodborne, Returnal, Demon's Souls.
I am not planning to try latters, but will eventuality play Ratchet and Clank. Backlog is too deep right now.
@Neptunes
Which game are you referring to? Just curious. I think there were some pretty good discounts. I bought Fallout 4 GOTY for under 8 GBP, Titanfall 2 Ultimate Edition for 3.5 GBP, Wolfenstein Alt History Collection (4 games in 1) for 12 GBP, and Metro Saga Collection (3 games in 1 with all DLC) for just 7.5 GBP.
Besides, it is up to the publishers/developers how much they want to discount their games; Sony has no say in it. Sony has control over only the first-party games and I agree the discounts have been pretty poor for first-party games. I think the reason for that is they want to push PS Plus Extra. I have been looking to buy Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut for years but it is still so expensive! Makes me want to just upgrade to Extra from Essential.
@OneWingedAngel Congrats for buying games from 2015 for 8£. I guess its a must buy xD
Aliens dark descent is 27 cheaper than most places i think
Sure wish Gran Turismo had a steeper discount. It's still more expensive than I'm willing to pay for something I'm not sure I'll enjoy.
After the Fall is £13 for any PSVR2 person looking for a decent co-op shoota
Is Metro Exodus worth $5.99? The sale price ends on Thursday.
None of them any good. Sure money has been taken off but most were too expensive to begin with.... sale was and is a joke . End of ... I miss play.com
@rusty82
I think it was Xposed - looked like a Qix rip off but I just looked for it and it's now free ... So either an error or I imagined it! A shame as I had convinced myself to buy it. Cheapest game now 3p (woodle tree adventure) but don't care about that, I wanted to buy something for a penny coz I'm not sure I ever have!
@Neptunes
Well, a good game is good regardless of the year you buy or play it. I had other games to play in the meantime so I saved a lot of money compared to buying them on Day 1 and putting them in the backlog. And I used the saved money on more important things in life like bills, kids' school books/fees, birthdays, etc. That is called being smart with your money. I don't know at what stage of life you are on but when you have a family to feed and a limited income, you need to be smart with your money especially when it comes to spending on hobbies.
@OneWingedAngel Being smart with money is to find a way to make more money and not to survive. By your point you will be playing ps5 games in 2030. Good luck . If you are happy with games from 2015 for 8£ so enjoy them.
@Neptunes
Once again, the year of release is just a number and has got nothing to do with the quality or enjoyment of a game. I just finished Legend of Dragoon a few days ago, a game from 1999 so I have no problem playing old games. It is just a hobby and my life does not revolves around the latest games.
Oh, and how much money we make is not up to us my young friend, or all of us would be billionaires. You still have a lot to learn about life. You will find out one day that no matter how hard you try you will never earn beyond a certain level and you will have to make do with what you have. Anyway, thanks for your good wishes, and good luck to you too on your path to becoming a billionaire and enjoying all the new games on deep discounts.
@Geep. A Jicks reference. Love it. Although you might be dating yourself a bit, but it’s always nice to know there is another older gamer on the forum, especially one with such fine taste in music. Made the purchase today. Many thanks.
@StripedTomato. Thank you for the response. Went ahead and purchased the base game today.
