Destiny 2 players who have found themselves out in the cold recently might want to check their emails, as it seems like a "small number" of players were banned through no fault of their own. Better, Bungie is making good with 5,000 Silver, the service title's premium currency, valued at nearly USD $50, or around £40.
Spotted by The Verge's Tom Warren, Bungie explains that a select number of accounts were "inadvertently flagged as having tampered with game client functionality." It goes on to describe that while the "overwhelming majority of these detections are accurate," it was discovered that, in "extremely rare cases, this detection may be triggered through no fault of the player".
The studio says that its detection and auditing process has been updated to prevent this from happening again in the future.

@Nepp67 Same bro, that's a lot of currency.
@Grimwood Nah, I'm good.
Wish I had an overpriced fake digital currency that costs me nothing so I could use it when I need to apologize to my spouse.
"Sorry I forgot to take out the trash my love, here are 10 MikeOrators to get some Starbies"
Let's be fair with the prices of bungie silver that could feed a small family if it was you know cash or tangible
