As we alluded to yesterday, Sony’s marketing team is pretty much unmatched when it has a big game under its umbrella. And few titles are much bigger than Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 for the Japanese giant, which is out now and is likely to set new sales records for the PS5 over the coming days and weeks.
We already reported on some pretty cool promotions in Taipei, as well as London and Sydney, but the manufacturer may have saved the best until last in Las Vegas. The organisation has taken over the Sphere in Las Vegas, bringing a gigantic animated mural to the city’s iconic skyline. This is seriously impressive stuff.
Remember, if you’re playing Insomniac Games’ sequel this weekend, then you can check out our Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 PS5 guide for assistance with the release. And if you’re still undecided about whether you want to buy it, our Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 PS5 review can help make up your mind.

Didn't xbox do the same on the sphere this week? Seemingly the week for marketing pushes
This does look awesome mind. Great effort Sony
Would scare the crap out of me if I had my back to it, turned around and saw Venom learning at me with those teeth.
Excellent stuff
Awesome stuff, need to get to Las Vegas, it's on list!!
A few games and various publishers have used the Sphere recently, and it's looked awesome everytime
Such a simple but effective billboard.
Costs like $450000 for one day. Fairly obscene.
N.i.c.e.its alive. 🕷 spiderman 2 is amazing.queens new york represent.word up son
I'm off to Vegas in around a month, can't wait to see this sphere in person.
@Rob_230
Yes, they did, but Sony is advertising something people actually want.
@TheCollector316
Is advertising not about promoting a product with the intent of people then wanting to buy that product?
(Unless you just being snarky: "no-one wants an xbox, scoff, scoff")
@GeeForce
Indeed. I am being facetious.
@TheCollector316
"facetious", that's the word I was looking for.
That sphere does look spectacular though doesn't it. (see what I did there, spectacular, spiderman...I'll get my coat)
@GeeForce
Haha. Nicely done.
Doing this the literal day after Microsoft used the dome to promote Xbox has got to be one of the funniest coincidences I've ever seen.
@nessisonett I agree With u but it did take like 3 billion dollars to make so ***** ain't gonna be cheap just glad it wasn't taxpayers money
@Drago201 The overall concept is obscene, but that’s Vegas for you. Just a colossal waste of resources and especially the power drain given climate change, all just so it can display adverts.
I know the thing is pretty much pointless and a waste of space ***** they could've put a massive apartment complex there 😒
@Rob_230 TwitchCon is in town , I’m guessing that’s why , I got to see it in person it’s pretty impressive
@nessisonett yeah the thing is just so Vegas. A monument to excess in one the most excess friendly places in the US. does look like a cool concert venue though, I'll give it that.
more to the topic though, I'll be glad when all this Spider-Man fervor dies down. No hate no shade as the kids say but the game doesn't seem all that and I look forward to first party stuff that's a little less lowest common denominator.
Lol now I'm out here being elitist
That's really cool, I like those 3d ones they have in Japan on the side of buildings.
It’s good to be King… long live King Sony and the global PlayStation empire!!!!!
@Drago201 It’s not just a massive billboard. It’s a concert venue on the inside. U2 has currently sold out about 20 shows on the inside. They’re just maximizing their revenue on the outside. Long love capitalism.
@Sarcasmatwork well maybe a concert or something is kool but the whole outside of it being an advertisement kinda sucks 😕
Well done marketing team. Now can you focus on marketing the PSVR2 please?
