Pacific Drive will trundle to PS5 on the 22nd February 2024, developer Ironwood Studios has announced, following a previous delay out of its original 2023 window. The strange driving-survival game, which we really liked the look of when we previewed it earlier this year, is well worth keeping an eye on if you're a fan of risk versus reward gameplay.
Pacific Drive tasks you with exploring the 'Zone', an often otherworldly environment, from the relative comfort of your car. Said car can be customised and upgraded with resources that you find out in the world, but caution is advised as you navigate dangerous terrain.

Of course, this date means that Pacific Drive joins what feels like hundreds of other new releases in early 2024. Here's hoping that this compelling adventure stands out amongst the crowd.

There's actually a lot of PS5 "console" exclusives in February now
February 1- Granblue Fantasy Relink
February 8- Helldivers 2
February 22- Pacific Drive
February 29- Final Fantasy VII Rebirth
I may have to start saving up now if I want all the 8 games I want in February (including this one) 😭
@UltimateOtaku91 saving money is good, but will you be able to save enough time to play all those games in February?
I may preorder this one. Really happy to see this one with a release date. I really want to see what it’s all about

You've dropped a clanger...Don't you mean 'old clunker'?
@Tomato_Goose most definitely not 😂, hard to choose which ones will have to go in the backlog, but Granblue Fantasy Relink, FF7 ReBirth and HellDivers are must haves day one.
This looks interesting, bit of Twin Peaks vibe. Don’t stop for anyone asking “Got a light?”
I am so ready for this game. Glad we are getting closer to it.
@Sam_ATLUS I went on the store to see if I could preorder and saw this one to add to your list:
Ultros—2/12
I still don't get how they haven't announced a VR version of this game. Surely it's coming and they're just trying to focus on the flat screen release first. The driving segments and slow FPS stuff scream VR, and the choice of art style has a lot of similarities to other VR games, (because its conducive to keeping framerates high)
You guy's already announced it was delayed until Spring 24 when confirming it was getting a physical release? Suppose it nice to confirm which month 👍
Edit. Apologies, assuming this is a new trailer?
Weird... but I'm sold.
For some reason I'm comparing this to Dredge in some way, but it's what I think of when looking at this and I'm very much down for this game.
Very intrigued by this. I could see getting this at launch if it's priced right and gets solid reviews.
I appreciate someone trying something new regardless of how it turns out.
