Jawdropping, it looks incredible and my god those visuals are insane. 2025 can't come soon enough.

For someone who didn't play the first game this trailer got me tripping, a ship coming out a babies mouth, a talking doll, a cat with wings...

Really thought this would be the big 2024 fall game

I legitimately do not know what Kojima is trying to do here. It’s a super serious game dealing with themes of connection and death, and then you’ve got talking puppets and a guy fighting a baby talking robots with a guitar that fires electricity. I know Kojima is known for being eccentric in his games, but this feels like he’s reached a point where it’s stopped being charming and is just weird for the sake of it.

Every Hideo game seems to get crazier than the last. Quite enjoyed the first without being amazed by it. This looks just too bizarre to not want to experience it at least once.

This looked so freaking good, and bizzare in all the right ways. I didn’t think a sequel was needed, but man, this proved me wrong.

What a banger trailer

I have not played the first Death Stranding and did not have much interest in this sequel, but damn, this trailer has me hyped. I was always a little turned off by the whole "gets good after 10 hours walking simulator with mild shooting" thing but this seems to be a bit more intense. I am also a bit of a Troy Baker simp so that helps.

I really hope the UI and HUD is much easier to digest. The menus, small text, constant prompts, tutorials and popups in the first game pretty much ruined it for me and I turned it off after the first boss. I loved the atmosphere and gameplay as well.

This was bat***t insane and chaotic and gorgeous and ****ing LOVED every moment of it.

I still have no idea what death Stranding is or what was going on in that game.
I enjoyed it though even if the combat was pretty poor so definitely looking forward to 2

@Enigk you could be surprised! I played the first one last year and it took me 6 months the get through it, and I still haven't got the platinum.

@Jireland92 I’ve been saying the same thing about Kojima for years, I understand that weirdness is his thing, but I’d love to see what he could do with something by leaving a bunch of that out. I’ve never been the biggest Kojima fan because it all feels so disjointed to me because of the blend of weird and serious. Now that said, I gave the first one a shot and I loved it, so I’ll likely try this one out too, but man, I could absolutely do with out the hand scarf, talking doll, baby ship, guitar weapon, and I’m sure I’m missing plenty of other things.

@JaBrony123 I thought the original looked boring and ridiculous but for whatever reason decided to grab it on sale and try it out, I fell in love very early on. I dint think it takes ten hours at all. I’ve never played anything like it. Maybe grab it on sale if you’re interested in it, I think you’ll be surprised.

Am I the only one that thinks the piano in this is WAY too close to the music in Child of Light?

@Odium Update 2weeks later, finally started Death Stranding and I am really loving it haha. I love the story and the lore and world building, and putting on a podcast or long ass HBomberguy YouTube video and making deliveries is so therapeutic.

@JaBrony123 that’s awesome! I’m glad to hear it. I actually just bought it again for my Steam Deck and am really looking forward to jumping back into it after I finish Crisis Core. It’s such a unique and relaxing game to just kick back with.
