Half Mermaid Productions and Her Story, Telling Lies creator Sam Barlow have confirmed Immortality will be ported to PS5 on 23rd January 2023 for $19.99. Barlow first shared word of a PS5 version being in the works casually on Twitter last year, but with the port now official, it's confirmed the DualSense controller's haptic feedback and speaker functions will be utilised, and you can unlock a Platinum Trophy. Check out the new trailer above.
On the announcement, Sam Barlow said: "From the inception of this project, the goal has been sharing Marissa Marcel’s life and work with as large an audience as possible. So I am thrilled to bring Immortality to PlayStation gamers and bring them face to face with a lost legend."
Much like Barlow's previous titles, Immortality sees you combing through video footage to try and find clues pertaining to the mystery at hand. You can pause, rewind, fast-forward, and tag scenes with phrases, and then search where those keywords appear elsewhere in the game. In the case of Immortality, you'll be working with the three lost movies starring Marissa Marcel.
The game was met with critical acclaim when it released on PC and Xbox Series X|S in 2022, holding a Metacritic rating of 87. Have you been waiting for Immortality to make its way to PS5? Let us know in the comments below.

Worth pointing out that if you have Netflix then you already own this game on mobile so check it out there.
I've heard very good things about this game, I'll keep an eye on it for sure!
Oooh, very excited for this!
Never heard of this game, but I’m very interested in it now.
Tried it on gamepass wasnt keen on it
Lots of praise for this, so definately worth a try if you think it might suit.
I personally didnt get it at all. The gameplay revolves around watching film clips and thats about all, but the clips are very well scripted and acted and theres a few suprises along the way.
Nice to see it on PS5.
Totally polarising game but I really enjoyed it. It's also nice to see different kinds of games getting positive attention.
Very original game. I loved the atmosphere and applaud the risk they took. After a while I lost my interest though, since it seemed so random to stumble upon the right clip and you had to watch everything over and over again.
Nice. Been waiting a while for this to come to the PS5. I didn't get around to it on Game Pass, and I'd rather play games on my PS5 anyways.
This was the best game we had on Gamepass since Ori and the Blind Forest when it was on the service. If you haven’t played it yet and you’re open-minded on the concept of gaming, you’re in for an absolute masterpiece.
the film splicing that he uses for his games i hate makes everything so disjointed.
