It's been a little quiet on the GTA 6 front, with Rockstar presumably enforcing a strict no-speak policy. NDAs, however, don't apply to actual rockstars like rapper ScHoolboy Q, who appears to have confirmed his musical return for the eagerly anticipated Grand Theft Auto sequel, which analysts don't expect to release before April 2025.
ScHoolboy Q's music has previously been featured on radio stations in GTA 5 and GTA Online, so Rockstar definitely has his number. In celebration of the 10th anniversary of his hit album Oxymoron, a fan wrote on Twitter that "as long as you drop some heat for GTA 6 radio we all Gucci", to which Mr Q replied: "Ima be on tHere don't even trip".
The rapper's apparent casual confirmation follows that of auto-tune auteur T-Pain, who revealed recently he would no longer be able to frequent roleplay servers due to his involvement with the game. What do you think? Does a true rockstar do whatever they like, regardless of what Rockstar's PR might think? Don't even trip in the comments section below.

Who? And what are those two even saying to each other?
I'm old. Non-Stop Pop FM and Emotion 98.3 is where it's at for me.
I couldn't tell you who this guy was even if he was sitting next to me.
Thank goodness I'm too old to understand all this nonsense.
Is that actually music? Damn i must be old. I cant stand all this modern era rubbish that "artists" put out these days @LifeGirl its absolute radio for me 👌
I’ll be skipping that station. They need a Lemon Twigs station in GTA 6
The first thing I do in every GTA. Find the best radio station for me.
"Ima be on there don't even trip", apparently this weekend they'll be playing gow and watching saved by the bell. Playstation1995 is really getting himself out there. Word
Schoolboy Q have a lot of good songs if you like rap music. One of the few "new" artist I happen to find talented. Don't even trip. Lol.
@carlos82 I will always be baffled why people make these performative "WHO" comments over celebrities/musicians, like clockwork.
Expect this game to shift 20-30 million ps5s alone EASILY probably more
I'm probably too old and/or not enough into a specific genre to know who that is
God , can we have some 80s stuff as well please , I too haven't a clue who these people are , I presume it's some talky talky boppity bop stuff.
@Sequel like peaky blinders but with hot pot and a ukulele, id buy that.
Who? Never heard of them. Tell me what Metal bands will be on there? Sabaton? Motorhead? or maybe Dokken?
Who? I'm just old 😆
@Shushibda Agreed, to me Vice City will always have the best soundtrack and I just turned 30 this month. 😂
@Elitepatriot iron maiden , ac/dc would be great
"Ima be on tHere don't even trip"
Something tells me 'ScHoolboy Q' didn't actually go to school much, certainly not paying enough attention in English and Grammar lessons for sure.
@Shushibda Indeed, the 80s were the best and one of the reasons I dislike GTA5 was because the radio stations just didn't appeal to me. I do like to just cruise around listening to some block rocking beats (90s stuff was pretty good as well although the decline was clearly audible).
Again, personal opinion.
There's only one Q for me. Q-Tip of A Tribe Called Quest fame. One of my favourite MC's. He has something most of these modern day rappers lack. Flow.
@carlos82
Don't even trip bruv ya hear?
Maybe there are potholes in some of Vice City's more rundown area's road crossings — hence Mister Q's helpful advice to not even trip.
"WHO?" do your research and listen to Blank Face LP, thank me later.
Hoping for a good 80s station.
@LordAinsley mostly because these kinds of articles assume we all know who this person is and that its amazing that their music is in the game and yet this is literally the first time I, and many others it seems, have ever heard of them. So indeed, who?
@Futureshark Stop being silly, every culture has slang, shorthand and colloquialisms. Just because it isn’t formal English doesn’t degrade it in the eyes of people who use it. He’s talking to a fan, not submitting an English paper.
John Muir is one of the best music videos I’ve ever seen. He’s an interesting artist.
@Pat_trick Unless you're in your 60s and don't listen to music at all, there's no shot you don't know who ScHoolboy Q is. Especially if you played GTA V.
Edit: Damn, there's a lot of sneaky racism in here.
@ArashiKageTaro I have absolutely no idea who he is nor could I care less. I played GTA V and I still don't know who he is. I'm not in my 60s.
Maybe if you're a bit less condescending and more empathetic you can realize not everyone has the same musical taste as yours.
Who? No idea who this is
I don't know a lot of modern music, that's just how it is for some of us, old or not. But it will happen to everyone. You get to an age where you don't pay attention to new stuff and just focus on older stuff that you like. And that's okay.
@Ravensbane the article tells your he's a rapper, has tracks featured on GTA V and it's the 10th anniversary of an album of his.
I think the article gives you plenty of context for who he is, people still feel it's interesting to tell people "never heard of him". I couldn't care less
I have no doubt this game will be fun to play. My concern is how intelligent it’s going to be, and how satirical. If you listen to just the GTA5 radio talk shows alone (which I do whilst cruising around as Franklin after boosting a taxi and making some extra cash from fares) the writing is absolutely hilarious. Can they really keep up with that level of satire and comedy in this new one? I hope so.
ScHoolboy Q is talented and his music is good. Good choice. The songs on GTA V was cool. T-Pain involved will be good too.
@ArashiKageTaro Yup. Lots of it.
@Futureshark He is actually a very intelligent person he references his SAT scores on one of his tracks were he labels his life was wasted in education when he was chasing women and taking drugs which hampered him proceeding any further. Also if you are referencing his spelling it is based on his upbringing in the neighbourhood of Hoover street in Compton hence why he capitalises his H. Also I don't need to remind you the necessary English and vocabulary skills needed in writing and singing hip hop in its finest form.
