Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown studio Ubisoft Montpellier has announced it'll be delivering a series of free PS5, PS4 updates for the game in the coming months. That content will take the shape of new modes and challenges, with the first one "coming soon". As a tease, it's suggested you train with Artaban and play the game on Immortal Mode, which may indicate it's combat and difficulty-related. More details will be shared soon.
Released last month to widespread praise, we awarded the game an 8/10 and commented on its slick and responsive gameplay, the vast Metroidvania map, and engaging combat and platforming. "Combining the series' 2D past with the time-bending powers from later games, this Metroidvania is a brilliant blend that brings the franchise back in a fresh new way. While it can sometimes look a little underwhelming, and the sheer size of the game threatens to slow its own momentum, the fluid, challenging platforming and combat are so fun that any shortcomings fade into the background."
Have you been loving Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown too? Look forward to the updates in the comments below.

I've been playing this game all week and can't get enough of it. Excellent stuff.
This game was super fun. However, I had to stop playing it because I hated dying and then not remembering how to get back to where I died, or it taking forever to get back up 12 stories of the building I was in. I would much rather be put back right where I died. I know that type of game is for children... But that is what I prefer and what will keep me interested in playing. If I have to go through twenty minutes of running back to where I was just to continue the game, I will uninstall immediately.
Can't wait for this to hit $30 on second hand market. Literally can't wait, as I have to talk myself out of buying it almost daily.
This was a great game. The platforming is particularly good in my opinion.
I've become quite the fan of Ubisoft Montpellier. I think they have great talent and vision and i look forward to what comes next!
In an industry of exploding budgets it was refreshing to play something a little smaller in scope but just as deep in lots of other ways... I just hope it was successful enough for ubi to take notice.
I really, really enjoyed this game a lot. Totally in favor of additional content. Rare for me to want this, but I actually would love a boss rush mode. They were so fun and creative, and the flashy counterattacks were fun to pull off.
@NarutosBiggestFan yeah I think this was my only real big complaint. The game was very "stop and start"-y because of having to pause and look at the map every 3 seconds. I don't see any reason they could not have implemented a small mini map or something. I also did not play on Guided Mode, but I doubt that would have helped with collectibles anyway.
I saw this was ā16 hours to completeā. Soooo, 70 hours inā¦. Loving it, I felt so much more empowered by the end of the game, plus excellent accessibility options. I dropped it down to easy for a couple of those nonsense fight (the archer for instance)
I just need them to keep updating and fixing all the bugs in this game, including the one that involves the snake fight. It's game breaking and can't progress in the game until it's fixed.
Iāll take all the new content that I can. I absolutely loved this game: I got the platinum trophy a few weeks back.
@DrVenture69 Iām always puzzled by some games being given the āthis long to completeā tag. This game is full of places to explore and things to do outside the main story. If you finish it in 16 hours itās because you decided to skip all the extra stuff.
I mean, I fished Skyrim story in 1 day. But Iād done all the side stuff before even doing the 3rd main quest. Played the game for over 300 hours. Anyway, I never ding a game for short main story when thereās so much to do outside the main story.
@AhmadSumadi , I know! When I read it I was pretty disappointed. After playing for 20 hours I thought, yeah, thatās very wrong. Absolutely right about Skyrim, I think the main story can be finished in 1.5 hours, I dread to think how much time Iāve put in š. Iāve never wanted to rush through a game (unless it sucks), I love poking into every corner!
@DrVenture69 I wanna finish Horizon: Forbidden West, GoW: Ragnarok, and Jedi Survivor before Dragonās Dogma 2 releases. Figured Iāll just run through Horizon: Forbidden West. WRONG! Iām 126 hours in and only 17% complete lol. I need to explore every nook and cranny.
@AhmadSumadi ha! Weāre cut from the same cloth Brother! I really want to play FF Rebirth, but I know Iām going to play Dead Space and RE4 remake before. š. I need to retire so I can play games 24/7
I found the demo to be pretty easy (and I donāt claim to be particularly good at video games). Is the full game more challenge, with the demo being more of a showcase than a representation of the main gameās challenge?
(I could see this being the case, especially since you start the demo with lots of abilities)
@NarutosBiggestFan
Man, you should try Elden Ring!
I really enjoyed the game. It took me roughly 24 hours to get platinum. I didn't notice any bugs or problems with the game. I was actually surprised a new game could be played all the way through without bugs/crashes which is rare nowadays. My only real compliant @Veritas7Ax already stated that there was no mini-map so you had to pause often to see where you are and where you want to go.
