It's been a long wait, but it looks like those recent rumours were true — Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut is now officially confirmed for PC. It'll be coming to Steam and Epic Games Store on 16th May, 2024. You can see it in action in the above trailer.
This version of the game, developed by Nixxes, includes the full base game as well as the Iki Island expansion pack, plus the brilliant online co-op mode, Legends. It's the full package, in other words, and of course, it comes with all the extras you'd expect from a PC port.
These include support for unlocked frame rates, ultrawide monitors, NVIDIA DLSS 3, AMD FSR 3, Intel XeSS and more. If you pre-order the game, you'll gain a few bonuses, like a special horse for New Game+, Broken Armour dyes, and the Traveler's Attire armour.
You can read a little more detail on the PS Blog. Will you be playing Ghost of Tsushima on PC? Let us know in the comments section below.

To this very day, I consider Ghost of Tsushima the most beautiful game ever made. I normally don't buy the PlayStation PC ports, but I'm very tempted to pick this up.
I was wondering when this would come.
Pity I'm playing this on my PS4 already, since it'd be cool to own portably. Maybe on sale someday.
People keep saying Sony isn't releasing much in the way of first-party software, but look at all these games they're releasing for Steam.
Really glad to see more people get to play 2020's goty
There is a rumor going around that Sony is developing their own store front for PC and at least 1st party games will have cross entitlements (ps5 purchases are playable on pc and vise versa).
I assume this would mean day 1 pc releases. Also the games probably wouldn't be sold on Steam, Epic, GOG, etc. I also wonder if they would try to force a subscription on pc players for online play.
The rumor could be false or they could scrap whatever they are working on but still interesting to consider.
its a good looking Ubisoft type game clear icons off a map
Fantastic game!
@BacklogBrad
Noone in their sane minds would pay for online play on PC.
Bloody finally!!!
I doubt there will be many day 1 PC releases. Exclusives will still exist on PlayStation and then go to PC 18 months or so later.
Xbox hardware will do one more turn and then cease in ten years time.
Nintendo will always stay exclusive.
Literally no need to worry about consoles going anywhere. PS and Nintendo will continue with consoles.
But day one PC will be few and far between
@RBMango yeah I'd go with this, some of its individual parts don't necessarily look great but the overall image is often stunning. It's certainly one of my favourite Playstation exclusives, in fact I'd go so far to say it's in my top 2 or 3 Sony exclusives for the PS4.
One I'll double dip for on PC
@ZhuckelDror my thoughts exactly but if Sony had their own store front they wouldn't need to play by steams rules and I never bet against Sony doing the money grab.
Happy for the pc player
The guy who leaked this says Starfield will be announced for PS5 between November & December and then the big well established Xbox franchises will be announced in 2025 for PS5 and apparently he has a 100% track record on his leaks coming true so far.
@BacklogBrad That would be great! They will sell less copies, if they implement cross-buy but will make more money, because no fee for epic/steam. Im tempted so much to buy some games also on pc. But that would mean also need of cross save.
Day 1 purchase. I've enjoyed every PC release of Sony's that I've played so far.
Also for anyone thinking Sony would make their own storefront, just look at what happens with Epic/Ubisoft/EA. They can do it but it won't end well for them if the game isn't at least on Steam.
Godtier game in my book. It's going to be ridiculous on PC.
@BacklogBrad
Yeah but what games could Sony offer to even potentially justify paid multilayer on PC?
@BacklogBrad Sony might form their own storefront/launcher, but I don't believe they're insane enough to try and boycott Steam.
This feels like a good fit, especially if it gives Legends a shot in the arm.
With all Sony games coming to PC now at some point PS5 will be my last console. With PC offering the superior gaming experience, emulation, better game preservation and in some cases piracy the advantages are clear.
I didn't think I'd be into Ghost of Tsushima but it's an absolute blast. Fun to play, great story and visually stunning. There's definitely some open-world bloat but you can totally ignore it and have a really good experience.
Really happy to see Ghost come to PC. Definitely want to buy it on PC for the ultrawide.
My favorite Playstation 1st party game of the PS4 generation. Enjoy it PC players, it's a banger.
Sucker Punch doesn't miss.
Congrats to the PC players. Really nice job Sony releasing more PC games than PS5 games this generation 👍
Super happy for PC players. Hopefully its gonna release in a good state as well. One of the best games of recent years.
Finally! Its one of the most amazing games made by Sony. I hope they make more games available to PC for players who don't want to invest in PS5. We need Day one releases too
Purchasing day one.
I wonder if legends will have crossplay. That would be cool
@BacklogBrad If they try to force a subscription for online play, they can go to hell.
@rachetmarvel
Well they already did it on consoles and got away with it so that's not a real valid point.
This game is really special! Hope it'll have good sales on PC, this game deserves it
Nixxes is on a roll !
Horizon Forbidden West this month, Ghost of Tsushima in May, less than 2 months after.
Clearly they have at least 2 teams... Sony is very keen on making those PC versions.
I wonder what game is next. God Of War Ragnarok perhaps, and Spider-man 2 after it?
As for Ghost of Tsushima - I'll certainly get the PC version. Played the game once on PS5 after the 60fps patch, and enjoyed it plenty. High time I give it a second playthrough - and the graphically improved PC version provides the best way... and opportunity.
PS Store price for PS5: £69.99
PS Store price for PS4: £59.99
Steam/EGS price for PC: £49.99
Make it make sense.
Keep them coming sony!! Nonstop Nonstop! Dont stop porting the games. Keep them coming!!
@Shinnok789 facts!!! Next up, GOW ragnarok, GT7, demon's souls, keep them coming!!
WTS 1 Giant Obsolete White George Foreman looking Blu-Ray player! PST with offer.
I wish the PS5 got as much attention from Sony as PC does.
They are constantly getting something to look forward too, and PS5 owners are still left in the dark.
"Only on PlayStation"
LOUD INCORRECT BUZZER NOISE
Omg it includes Legends mode! No Naughty Dog slacking here! Such a fantastic underrated multi-player.
Might have to double dip on this one. The game was so good on ps4/pro. Could not put it down until it was finished. I would love to see how it looks on ultrawide.
@fybyfyby sony has money invested in epic , so i doubt they would leave their store
