Sony's big PS Plus Extra update is scheduled to take place tomorrow, but as 13 PS5, PS4 and Classic titles arrive, seven will be going the other way. As communicated in the service's Last Chance to Play section on PS5, some games will be removed for members, and you'll need to buy them if you want to keep playing. The PS Plus Extra titles leaving on 19th March 2024 are as follows:
- Civilization VI (PS4)
- Tchia (PS5, PS4)
- Ghostwire: Tokyo (PS5)
- NEO: The World Ends With You (PS4)
- Haven (PS5, PS4)
- Code Vein (PS4)
- Outer Wilds (PS5, PS4)
If you need a refresh of what's taking their place with some new arrivals, click the link. We also have an up-to-date All PS Plus Games guide for reference. All games of a reasonable length, there's nothing here you could realistically start and complete inside a day. However, if you've ever wanted a taste of what these experiences have to offer, this is your last chance unless you want to outright buy them. They'll still be around until 10am GMT / 3am PT / 6am ET tomorrow.

Just finished Tchia. Twice. Plat for PS4 and PS5 stacks. Excellent little game, very charming even if it has some rough edges (no mini-map, and your own location is not marked 99% of the time). If it ever comes back to Plus, be that in Essential or in Extra again, do take the time to play it.
Edit to say that I played Ghostwire: Tokyo a few months ago when it was added to the service. A good if flawed game with a gorgeous open world, with detail on par with or even exceeding that of the Yakuza / Like a Dragon games. Such a shame it is leaving Plus Extra now, doubt it will be back unless Sony's original exclusivity contract stipulated that it should come to Plus Essential at some point.
Go play the Outer Wilds if you haven’t yet. Personally think most of the other titles are overrated, but the Outer Wilds is excellent.
I own all the ones that matter to me on disc: Ghostwire, Code Vein and TWEWY
Lately I feel that the incoming games don’t match the quality of the outgoing games. Hopefully that improves..
Dropping to Essential when mine runs out in December - and that's only because of ESO.
Only just downloaded outer wilds haha thats a shame.
But o well, this is how it is. Same with every sub platform you win some you lose some
Managed to get my Ghostwire platinum a couple of weeks ago and I really enjoyed the game but the grind for trophies in the end spoilt it a bit for me
All I need to say is that you all need to play Neo TWEWY. That game is easily a 10/10 game that not enough people tried out
Worst month of losing games in PS Plus/Now's history.
The good thing about not having ps plus is that you don't lose access to things. Also anything about the videogame industry is more a cycle of death, than a cycle of life.
Got the Haven platinum over the weekend. Absolutely adored it, was a very refreshing experience.
I also got the Ghostwite platinum a while back. I thought it was a pretty cool game that has a bit too much open world bloat, or needed a little more variety in activities.
Played some Tchia and Outer Wilds too. Both seemed really cool but neither totally hooked me.
That's why I like psplus essential more, well at least before the price hike 😅
@Fuzzymonkeyfunk Did you 100% Spider's Thread as well?
That’s why any subscription service is a scam. You spend more money in the long term yet OWN absolutely nothing.
@Golem25 no I didn’t do all the spiders thread but I loved the school side missions they were probably some of the best in the game
Thats why i dont subsribe to ps plus extra.to many video games get pull.i enjoy psplus essential more.and psn always have sales.them games on the list are cheap.and on ebay them games are cheap also.word up son
@MaddieTian
Not really a scam, everyone knows how these things work since Netflix rocked up.
It's a decent way to try many games over a period you likely would never buy
And there's generally more than enough time to finish games on the service you really like.
Ultimately tho you should just buy the games that you really want.
Back in early September, my sub for Premium ran out and I downgraded to Essential, and I have to say in the 6 months since not ONE game I would be interested in came to Extra or Premium that I hadn't played already. Literally, if only one had come through I would have gone back up to Extra, but nope...
Ahh f*ck I can’t believe I forgot to play Ghostwire Tokyo.
I bounced off Haven since I didn’t understand the combat, finished Tchia and platinumed Ghostwire:Tokyo. Looking forward to seeing what’s being removed next so I can start playing that.
My Extra subscription expires in a few months, so I’m saving my purchased and Essential games for then.
I paid for a year that expires in a few weeks and I am done. I realized the only incentive now is to replay FF games on the service. For the $200 or whatever they want a year now I can get them all on the current steam sale and have $100 left over.
I did not end up playing ANY PS games online this year, so going with zero subscription at all just makes sense.
Shame. That list crushes most of the additions lately.
@MaddieTian
I finished Neo TWEWY, Outer Wilds and Tchia. I never go back to games I finished unless they are absolute masterpieces. Doesn't feel like a scam to me that I got to play through all those games to the credits and I'll get to continue doing that with other games in the sub.
I never actually finished The Outer Wilds. May have to purchase when I pick it back up. Guess that's what the service is for
Outer Wilds, beautiful game with countless exploration opportunities. Rage inducing with its planetary puzzles and time limit. Won’t be missed.
@MaddieTian Not really, it's on par with rental, except you get a whole whack of stuff for your payment. It's a well known fact that you don't own anything in subscription services, so it's hardly a scam.
@Rhaoulos obscure comment, because you cant have one without the other
@Lolocopters Would you be happier with "spiral of death"? I mean life leads to death, but death doesn't necessarily lead to life depending on which religious fiction you choose to believe.
