Sony Polls Players on Favourite Games That Aren't Bloodborne

I really find it weird how Sony is just straight up ignoring Bloodborne. Like they even took out Lady Maria from the Woman's day art.

Did we really need two TLOU and GoW and THREE Spider-Man titles in this?

Bloodborne would have easily clear the entire list, especially on Twitter (still calling it that!). It's gaming malpractice that they didn't even add a 60fps patch that probably would have taken a couple of PlayStation interns a day at most.

I'm surprised that they added a standalone expansion (Miles Morales) over something like say, Days Gone or something. I mean, while we're at it, why not throw in Lost Legacy too?

Bloodborne fans think Bloodborne is the only good game in existence. Please try other things!

Both Horizon games were kicked out in the first round, see the original tweet. HZD got slaughtered by GoT. And the same will probably happen with Spidey (SM1 by GoW, SM2 by GoT). Horizon and Spider-Man are popular, but fans don’t love them.

I think pushsquare needs the ban articles based on the reaction to stuff by twitter users.

Every patient reader can easily see that only „newer“ games are included, the oldest being Uncharted 4 from 2016, while Bloodborne is from 2015.

BUT in this logic, they would have better taken Lost Legacy as the latest entry, which wouldn’t have any chance.

Horizon Zero Dawn and GoW are the only ones of these 16 games without native PS5 version, right? GoW is a contender for the win, so why not swapping HZD (which has a shiny successor) with Bloodborne?

The real tragedy here is GOW Ragnarok beating Last of Us Part 2 by 73% to 27% from 20k votes in the quarter final. Ragnarok is great, but it didn't take the risks part 2 did and it certainly isnt the better game in any way.

Returnal being beaten by Spider-Man makes me lose my hope in humanity.

Bloodborne isn't a first party game either, but I'll gracefully excuse them for misphrasing "which PS game reigns supreme under Gravity Rush" which would be the only plausible explanation for the latter's own much starker absence.😏

All included games have PS5 versions or PS5 upgrade patches.
Bloodborne doesn't.

Zero Dawn is still my favourite exclusive. Ghost of Tsushima is fantastic, though.

@AhmadSumadi It is a fantastic game and experience i suck at it but without any doubt it is fantastic. And yes it should have been there it is a loved gsme by so many and it needs a PS5 remake or remaster.

Is Bloodborne really a "cult classic". Pretty sure 90% of PS4 owners gave it a go.

Forget Bloodbourne, where's Days Gone and Infamous Second Son? They should of done it by IP and not each individual game.

@Rgeneb1 it sold just over 7 million copies, the PS4 install base was 120 million. So the game had an attachment rate of 6%. It was no where near as popular as Sony's other big games.

@UltimateOtaku91 That's fair enough, I would have thought higher, happy to be corrected. It has been on PS plus forever and a day too though. I think cult classic is a bit of an overused term though.

Nice to see yourself and a couple others mention Days Gone, that was probably my favourite PS4 game.

It is pretty funny how Playstation is really into reselling games from the PS4 generation any chance they get and yet don't seem to have any interest in reselling the one people actually want them to resell. 😆

It seems Bloodborne (and The Last Guardian but that was already 60fps before being patched out) is the only PS4 exclusive from Sony now that hasn't had a 60fps patch or remake.
Even Gravity Rush 2 has a PS5 port in the works, probably to coincide with the movie coming.

Imagine though if SONY threw their weight behind a Bloodborne TV series / movie (and did it right like TLOU) that has the potential to be incredible.

Uncharted 2 for me but it's not on there

All the games listed have at least 1 out of a native PS5 version and a PC version. That said, they could've varied the list more by including Days Gone (got a PC version) and Sackboy (got PS5/PC versions).

Maybe they're teasing that HZD and GoW (2018) end up getting PS5 remasters later this year as they're the only ones that have a PC port but not a native PS5 version?

No excuses for this. Bloodborne is a PS Exclusive, and yes it would've beaten most of them hands down.

Here's a take...

Bluepoint have been incredibly quiet since Sony's acquisition, and if anyone if likely to be commissioned for the (surely inevitable remake) then it will be them.

I believe that the PS6 launch will have Bloodborne remake as an exclusive, similar to how DeS was launched with PS5. This timeline would then also coincide with the Bloodborne movie, still early in development.

Sony had great success in TLoU remake and TV show 'trading off' one another, and likely will seek to emulate a similar level of buzz with Bloodborne.

This would also make sense as to why there is still no 60fps patch available etc... no point in providing a 'halfway house' when a full scale remake is in play.

For me its Days Gone, even if it's not on the list!! Sony's motto "For The Players" is nothing more than that, they don't stand by it, that's for sure. If they did, they wouldn't overlook on some great games.

I like Bloodborne, but let's be honest, this is a competition between AAA games, right? Bloodborne is more on the indie side, it cannot compete with the level of polish of GoW or RaC for example.

@Darude84 I'd agree, but remember that Spider-Man is still a great game, and sold way more than Returnal. It's also a license with a huge fanbase. Returnal is an excellent game, one of my favourites, but it was never going to beat Spider-Man.

Among these I would pick Returnal or Death Stranding! Bloodborne is also awesome, of course.

@B0udoir Lol at "Bloodborne is indie." The level of detail on attire, equipment, items and menu plus overall theme or art style is 10x better than Spiderman or GoT.

@TheArt They copy/paste the same assets all over the place in an outdated graphics engine. It looks good and provides a nice atmosphere but it is more tweaking around like indie developers rather than the work of an army of artists and 200 millions dollars of budget. It is just a fact that Bloodborne is not at the same production level as GoW or GoT. That said, the gameplay in Bloodborne is certainly more interesting than GoT.

I’d love to know what beef the Sony higher ups have against Bloodborne. Always seems to be the games they liked least that get canned for no apparent reason.

@AhmadSumadi that's just not true. BloodBorne is one of the best PS games and it's absense is questionable. While BloodBorne is my favoirite PS game, I still love most the title's on this bracket.
