Nexon has announced Vindictus: Defying Fate, an action RPG inspired by Celtic mythology. All we really have to go on is the above announcement trailer, which features pre-alpha gameplay footage, but it's already looking pretty decent.
Set in the same universe as MMORPG Vindictus, this spin-off is a fast-paced, combat focused action title. A press release provides a little more insight, stating you'll play with "a large roster of distinct characters" each with unique abilities and combos. "Face fearsome Fomorian creatures based on classic Irish mythology and brace for cunning monsters that tower over your character, poised to challenge your prowess," it continues.
The game is set to arrive on PC and consoles, though which ones has yet to be specified. A public alpha test is set to take place soon for PC players, so it seems the final game is still a ways off, but there's some promise here.

Looks really good that, will be keeping an eye on this!
Looks very nice. I hope it won't be the sort of game I put down after a week due to frustration over difficulty. I'm getting older and have little patience now. I've put down soooo many!
@Warldorf so like this?

😁
I just did a mythology tour in Dublin the other day and the guy was saying it's a shame there are not many games based on Irish myths.
There are lots of references in Japanese games and anime tbf, but most folk wouldn't know them if they were not already aware of them.
It's an action RPG too.
I'm definitely into this.
It looks good, I'm interested, but the hero's shiny fantasy plate-mail doesn't do much to convey a Celtic vibe, even amid the standing stones. Still, there may be more to the story.
Looks superb, but, man, fighting huge monsters -of all things- in heels is just...
@Elodin ha haaaa! Exactly!
I played the old one a decade or so ago and the boss fights were fun. Hopefully the new one won’t be limited to instanced dungeons and one-two hub areas…
@naruball I know what they want to but there has to be a more realistic way to achieve that. 😅
