Gothic fans already know the original 2001 open-world RPG is getting the remake treatment, which is expected to arrive on PS5 sometime in 2024. Publisher THQ Nordic and developer have revealed that a Collector's Edition of the game will be available, with some appropriately leather-bound goodies.
Expensive at $199.99 / £169.99, the Gothic Collector's Edition comes bundled with a copy of the game on PS5, a genuine leather wristband, a leather-bound notebook, a wall-mounted Sleeper Mask, and the game's original soundtrack. Supplies will be limited to 7500, so if you are a long-time Gothic stan, you'll want to get in quick. Pre-orders are available now through the THQ Nordic Store, although the game has no release date.

i will be promptly locking in my pre-order for the Gothic Remake collector's edition from THQ Nordic after the 3rd of May.
Perhaps show us some actually footage and share some info on the game before peddling collectors editions
We know next to new thing about this game.
@KundaliniRising333
Lmao seriously?
I thought that was on me for not knowing anything about the game, but apparently not.
Kinda funny that they'd do this then
Never before has a leather notebook been presented in such a grandiose fashion. Kudos to the marketing team for going all-in.
Has the Collector's Edition been made from a human skin?
At least give us a release date
The THQ estore does say December 31 2024 if you select a platform, but that does sound a bit like a placeholder.
@MrBook I hear you to some degree but the first Gothic is nearly 24 years old. And the newest entry in the series still like 15 years old. That would put a significant amount of those that played these games Back in the day, likely pushing 40 or more.
So I would assume this remake is also aimed at younger players whom never played the originals. Even if it's not I assume those that did like Gothic, would want to know if this is a marked improvement on the many shortcomings of those eurojank pioneers.
Either way we have seen literally nothing aside from a trailer and a small statement on the game and it was announced years ago. Now we see them peddling editions and teasing release dates yet we have seen almost nothing of the actual game. Pretty valid to see that as a bit of a red flag.
I wish more games will follow suit with including usable stuff like notebook (preferably leatherbound) as special/limited edition item. Other alternative maybe pen set, thermos flask etc
