Bandai Namco is gearing up to launch its latest Pac-Man game into the world, and it's not far off at all. Launching on both PS5 and PS4 on 9th May 2024, Pac-Man Mega Tunnel Battle: Chomp Champs is bringing 64-player battle royale madness.
While this isn't the first time Bamco's mascot has been placed in a battle royale situation, the difference here is that you aren't restricted to just one maze during a match. In this game, you can move into another player's maze and interact with them, as they're all connected by the titular mega tunnels.
During the course of a match, the lowest-scoring mazes are eliminated, shrinking the collective play space until all remaining players are gathered in one stage. It seems that the general gameplay will be largely familiar — eat pellets, chow down on ghosts, etc. However, a variety of power-ups allow you to defend yourself from attack, influence the ghosts, and eat other Pac-Men.
There's potential here, but we'll have to see how it all plays out next month. Are you interested in Pac-Man Mega Tunnel Battle: Chomp Champs? Eat some fruit in the comments section below.

Finally, I've been waiting for this one
As I said on the corresponding Pure Xbox article, isn’t this just Pac-Man 99, but on PlayStation?
I love Pacman but not really into pvp stuff...I'll consider it
