Star Wars Outlaws releases for PS5 on 30th August 2024, but post-launch support will try to keep you coming back for more as Ubisoft has confirmed the title will receive two expansions after release. All we know for now is the two pieces of DLC will have a narrative focus, but you can get them both in a season pass that bundles in the Jabba's Gambit quest at launch and an extra cosmetic item pack.
All of that extra content will be bundled in with the Gold and Ultimate Edition of the game, which cost £104.99 / $109.99 and £119.99 / $129.99 respectively. The base game is £69.99 / $69.99. Both of the more expensive options allow you to play three days early — from 27th August 2024 — and the Ultimate Edition has extra bonuses like a Rogue Infiltrator bundle, the Sabacc Shark bundle, and a digital art book. The two packs include cosmetic items for your spaceship, blaster, speeder, and protagonist Kay herself.
What version of Star Wars Outlaws will you pre-order, if any? Put your money where your mouth is in the comments below.

Pre-ordering a Ubisoft title is like throwing away money, if it's not at least 40% off within a month of launch I'll be surprised.
I would pre-order the gold edition, but it's almost double the price of standard here in Brazil. So, I will have to wait. I'm not rich.
Probably the Gold edition for me. Although that's a bit pricier than usual for Ubisoft season passes so I might wait for a sale.
Still excited for the game though. It looks great!
@Korgon I’d say just wait a month. Probably drop like $30-$40 lol
These prices are just killing the industry. Bloody hell.
The fact that some people are willing to pre-order Ubisoft games for £120 and think it's a good deal baffles me. Most of their games are boring, repetitive and extremely buggy at launch and to top it all off, are heavily discounted a few months after release.
I sat the PS4 generation out, meaning I've been able to pick up great games for 'free' via PS Plus, never needing to buy any. I'm going to keep working through older games and staying behind the curve like that, because the thought of dropping 120 quid on a single game makes my head hurt. I don't care for post-Lucas SW, so I might not even play this when it hits Plus circa 2028.
I’m so happy I don’t really like the cosmetic packs announced with the gold and ultimate editions. This will save me a lot of cash and we all know Ubi games get deals pretty soon after launch so I’m pretty sure we’ll be able to a good deal on the season pass between black friday and the end of the year, so way before the first dlc comes out.
I must vomit, I‘m sorry.
Ubisoft at the moment appear smart launching the game late August. June - Sept is usually a bit of a drought for games so I think the day one launch sales will actually be quite high despite their known discount practices which can start anywhere from 4-8 weeks after launch.
The only thing that could knock strong day sales of course is another huge game coming out the same time. I do feel like we won't get that situation until 2025 with the majority of the big stuff out before June (No AAA Sony games, GTA 6 or Persona 6 this year).
This mass market appeal of this game could may it a GOTY contender if it reviews well.
Really want this game to top notch and a big AAA, as really like Star Wars and this type of game.
Fingers crossed.
Ubisoft just pumping out superior AAAAA experiences.
The base game will be £35 by Christmas.
Why would I order when I haven't had the opportunity to read reviews to make sure there are not big issues especially regarding performance. To fair I don't pre order full stop but pre ordering a new series long before launch sounds like people are walking blindly into another Fallout 76 or cyberpunk on console at launch. It just seems some peoples impatience makes them glutton for punishment especially as being a Ubisoft game it's almost guaranteed to have a very significant reduction in price very soon after launch.
@freddquadros Hey fellow BR! Where you from? Base game prices at R$350, more or less, forces us to be very wise with our options. I'll wait to get this on physical edition so I can lend to my friends and then trade or sell. I played Jedi Survivor and Spider man 2 and sold the both for the same price I bought (already got them used). If you're in Rio, we could expand the swap pool.
I don't know id you're the other dude from BR I found here and added (my memory is ***** these days). If you're not, feel free to add me. My name here is my PSN account as well.
Tamo junto!
They haven't released the Avatar bonus content that people bought at launch have they? And now they want you to buy some more future content for another game that isn't even out for 4 or 5 months 😅
It's crazy to be pre ordering games at £120 in the hope some good content comes later on 😬
What do you save if you pre order the future DLC? Maybe £5 on the full RRPs? but by the time any DLC comes out the game will be 50% off anyway.
Utter Madness that this trick works on people
Announcing DLC expansions before the game is even out is NASTY work 🤢
Ubisoft executives most likely said in their board meeting "Its Star Wars, we can charge whatever we want and Star Wars fans will lap it up"
Unfortunately they are correct, despite the fact I feel its overpriced I will start saving for the Ultimate Edition, simply because its Star Wars.
After finding out how much Disney takes in licensing costs I cannot say I'm surprised at these prices. I will be getting the base edition. If the DLC are good I can always buy the season pass later.
I'm not shocked about these prices. I'll just do my usual Ubisoft method.
A. In the rare cases that I'm intrigued by a Ubisoft Game sufficiently I get the physical base game at launch.
B. Complete the base story and some side missions.
C. Sell the base game.
D. A few months later after they released the entire dlc, even the ultimate (or whatever they call it) edition will be dirt cheap and piled up on bargain bins, and I'll be ready for the extra content.
Companies can come up with crazy pricing schemes... so what, why get upset... just play it smart
I like Ubi games a lot but I don’t think I’ve ever paid full price.
It'll be a bargin binner 6 months after release. I'll wait
Ah, typical Ubisoft pricing. Like death and taxes, some things will never change
@freddquadros ubisoft games have gone half price within 3 months of release just wait on a sale
@Whately86 Hi compatriot! I'm from Bahia. About the game, I'm thinking in signing Ubisoft+ as it grant access to the game, and buy the season pass only. I never saw a season pass so expensive, R$ 200,00 !!
You are right, we must be very selective about the games we buy on launch, I rarely do these days, R$ 350,00 is too much in our economy.
Gonna add you on PSN, my profile is the same as the nickname here too!!
Standard edition/ limited or special edition depending where I get from.
I’ll get the dlc’s separately at a later point afterwards or when the season pass goes on sale.
Just hoping that the game won’t require a huge amount of storage space to install as I’m hoping to get BG3 over the summer
@Digit2021 I'd hold off though and see what state the game releases in, and if you can wait a couple of months, you'll very likely find this for much cheaper.
Unisoft seems to be getting very greedy lately, I should probably start saving for The Division 3 now so that I'll be able to afford the £159 base edition and £50 season pass in 2 years time 😂
