Microsoft has announced that it'll be hosting its 'Xbox Games Showcase 2024' on the 9th June, which, under previous circumstances, wouldn't necessarily be a huge deal for us here on the PlayStation side of the fence. However, with Microsoft's now obvious push towards more and more multiplatform titles, it's all but guaranteed that we'll see some games that will inevitably end up on PlayStation platforms.
"This will be our first Showcase featuring games from our portfolio of studios across Activision, Blizzard, Bethesda and Xbox Game Studios, in addition to titles from our third-party partners," the company writes on its official blog.
Again, things kick off on the 9th June, at 10am PT / 1pm ET / 6pm BST / 7pm CET. It slots neatly into the Summer Game Fest schedule — which begins on the 7th June — and is followed by Ubisoft Forward on the 10th June. At the time of writing, Sony has yet to confirm its own showcase, but it's rumoured to be happening in May.
