Update: Just as we published this article, HoYoverse has announced that pre-registration for the game is available now. As is common for the developer, it'll be tracking the total number of players who sign up, and will be promising bountiful in-game rewards if it reaches its ambitious 40 million players milestone. Officially, the release date is still "2024".
You can pre-register on the PS Store by adding the game to your wishlist through here.
Original Story: HoYoverse's eagerly anticipated next PS5 gacha game, Zenless Zone Zero, has had a potential release date revealed via Apple's App Store. As things stand, the game is expected to be released in 2024, but it could be sooner than anticipated. How does the next effort from the Genshin Impact creator arriving somewhere around 3rd July sound?
Spotted by IGN, while the release date on the App Store does read, "this content may change without notice, and the final product may be different”, the timing would line up quite nicely with the pre-planned technical tests currently taking place on both PS5 and PC.
Of course, nothing is official until confirmed by HoYoverse, but applications to take part in this console testing just closed on 17th April, and Honkai itself followed a similar pattern of development; a 3rd July release is not out of the realm of possibility, if perhaps a tad early, but we'll just have to wait and see.
What do you think? Are we grasping at straws here, or are the signs beginning to add up? Let us know in the comments section below.

I was excited for this game but saw it's more of an action RPG and my interest diminished a bit. Not really a fan of that and whenever I see Genshin it's just like endless waves of colors and effects I dunno, maybe I'm just too old.
Updated with news of pre-registration campaign.
Really looking forward to trying this. Love Genshin and HSR.
I'll probably skip this one as most ZZZ Beta previews I saw were comparatively negative, it will be interesting to see what, if anything, they changed.
Besides as much as I like Genshin and HSR I have realised that they take too much time. Taking on another Live Service would mean abandoning almost all other games. Bad deal for me, may be better for others.
@ATaco genshin is aesthetically mismatched to me, which is why star rail appealed more. That being said I find the combat in star rail to be typical “smart phone auto battle” stuff which is offputting. Don’t know why but genshin looks terrible on PlayStation. On the phone it looks much better but it’s like all shadows were removed on console. Weird.
@DeathlySW
There's a little bit more thought to it once you get to the more difficult content and the events do a good job of requiring you to actually play the game but for the most part I kind of agree with the auto battle sentiment. That said, I don't mind it much since it gives me the ability to be able to unwind and have a podcast or some YouTube video going in the background while I grind while also being able to actually focus on said thing. Besides after doing dailies every day in games without auto grinding you definitely miss it as it quickly becomes tedious having to do the same things over and over and over.
@ATaco I definitely agree and that’s why i largely played it over genshin, graphics snobbery aside. Just feels kinda weird.
