Alien: Rogue Incursion crawled out of an air duct during Sony's State of Play showcase, debuting some nightmare-inducing PSVR2 gameplay. Players must attempt to survive in a facility overrun with xenomorphs, stepping into the unfortunate shoes of an as-yet-unnamed protagonist stranded on the "inhospitable planet Purdan" in late 2024.
Created in Unreal Engine 5 and in collaboration with publisher 20th Century Games, Rogue Incursion should certainly appeal to fans of Creative Assembly's Alien: Isolation. Developer Survios dares players to "experience the next level of action-horror in VR", and judging from the small snippet we've seen, that doesn't appear to be a baseless boast.

What do you think of Alien: Rogue Incursion? Is it right up your alley, or entirely too scary? Cower in fear in the comments section below.

Wow. Looks creepy and scary.
I do hope there will be a non-VR version of this tho one day!!!
For a game out later this year you would have thought they’d have more gameplay to show.
@Kiefer-Sutherland and gameplay that didn’t dip into the low 20s frame rate wise lmao
Two game minimum VR showcasing by Sony. Same as the last show and the show before. It’s pitiful, at the very least, get someone who can listen to people and try and get some ports of old PSVR1 games over.
I wouldn’t get too hyped for this just yet as Survivos work can and has been weak. Plus it’s multi platform so it might not receive the attention for the PSVR2 as it would for say the Quest 3.
Watching this trailer makes me sad of what happened with Alien Isolation. sigh...if only the game sold more.
@BusyOlf lol so now it matter what version gets the "attention"? Fighting games sell the most on console but the pc version gets the attention because that community will last the longest. Madden is on pc but all the big tournaments are on console.
What version gets the most attention means nothing.
Porting old games to psv2 now that's actually a good idea.
I thought I read somewhere that this was coming to consoles as well, which I REALLY hope is true. I’ve been looking forward to this game since it was announced quite a while back, but unfortunately I don’t have a PSVR2 🫤
Happy that this is coming to the quest as it'll be doa on psvr2.
The only things that got me worried is 1st that we barely got footage. 2nd, having rogue in the title makes me fearful that this is another short game with little content, padded out lengthwise with rogue like elements. The persistence was okay, but I want an alien game to have a proper story like isolation.
@PuppetMaster blame ign and their crap and quite frankly pathetic excuses for critics.
@DonJorginho the social screen on psvr2 does that....I don't understand why they show psvr2's social screen as its always low framerate and out of one eye when the game will look great and probably be 120hz(reprojected)
@MrGilly69 I did blame them. Their 5.9/10 review really gave a negative impact for Alien Isolation sales. Because of their review, a lot of people thought it was a bad Alien game or another disaster like Colonial Marines when in fact it was an excellent Alien-survival horror game.
IGN is really a bad place for game reviews. They also 'killed' God Hand and Haunting Ground , two excellent games that deserves more sales and praise.
I just don't understand why many people still trust IGN reviews and news when some of their reviewers can't even pass Cuphead tutorial or wrote fake news about Amy Hennig left ND🤦♂️
They really will do anything and everything but make an Isolation sequel, like there's your money bag right there.
