Frostpunk 2 is the sequel to one of the most morally conflicting strategy games on the market, and it looks like more tough choices are on the horizon. It's coming first to PC and Xbox Series X|S on 25th July but has been pledged for PS5 sometime after. Courtesy of IGN, we got an extended look at 11 Bit Studios' bleak survival city builder.
Players must decide between the lesser of many evils to survive the next storm, following ideological technology trees to their logical conclusions. With manpower in short supply, will you enlist child labour to meet demand? What's the most effective way of repressing an unruly population, direct force or religious subversion?
Where Frostpunk tasked players with keeping a population of incredibly fragile people alive in the face of a world-ending global weather event, Frostpunk 2 is set some 30 years later. The world is still covered in frost, but the most significant threat this time is other survivors scrambling for slim resources and your own increasingly democratic people. Check out the trailer below for some of the flavour that makes the series so special.
Do you have what it takes to make the tough choices required to survive? Are there any lines you won't cross? Let us know in the comments section below.

Not liking the lack of PS5 release date for this one. Hoping for one soon as this looks great!
Remember Cities Skyline II has been announced but has still received no further update for PS5?
@itsfoz they pushed back the console release of CS2 because the PC version was released in a complete mess.
The no ps5 release date for this would most likely mean MS made some kind of deal you would guess.
@PsBoxSwitchOwner You’re not wrong there. Just hope this one is bug free and any MS deal is for a year maximum.
Absolutely loved the first game.
But they've changed the way ot works completely in 2 and unfortunately it's not hit me the same way so I'll be giving this game a miss.
@itsfoz At least when it does come to PS5, we get you would think the best version of the game.
Really enjoyed the first game. I did find it a bit depressing to play though l
I really hope they’ve added something new. First game was great addictive time stealer I hope the new one won’t steal my summer.
I would have been upset about the console exclusivity but I watched some of the beta footage from the PC build and it doesn’t really interest me anymore. I really loved the race against time to build everything before the big storm arrives in the first one but that’s not in the new one from what I read. One of the hardest platinums to achieve in my opinion, gave up trying after months of trying
