Konami has now opened pre-orders for physical editions of Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, although not all are created equal. In Europe and the UK, the Deluxe Edition (pictured above) is on offer, whereas residents of the Americas can pick between a day one Tactical Edition (which includes additional digital goodies) or the much-coveted Collector's Edition, which comes with, amongst other things, a miniature terrarium commemorating that time Naked Snake's backpack got stuck in a tree.
The UK/EU Deluxe Edition comes with the game, steelbook case, FOX patch, "!" sticker, and character art. It's hard not to be a little envious of what is on offer over the pond, though, as the $200 Collector's Edition available in the Americas comes with the game, a collector's box, FOX patch, HALO jump patch, and a lanyard replicating the one Snake uses to disguise himself as a scientist. Saving the best for last, behold the majesty of the miniature terrarium, which depicts that immortal moment at the beginning of Virtuous Mission, where Snake is taught how to climb a tree via Codec:

The good news is that Konami confirmed a Collector's Edition is being planned for EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa) markets. The bad is that the firm says it will differ from the American offering and thus risks potentially not including the miniature terrarium, which is our hearts' most fervent desire.
Will you be putting down the cold, hard cash required to secure that terrarium, importing it internationally if need be? Let us know in the comments section below.

Let's just pray for a 2024 release window, the last trailer already looked pretty far into progression.
@NinjaNicky Yes, the terrarium does something. It sets you back 200$
@NinjaNicky Yeah it steals $200 from your pocket. Defo getting that deluxe edition. That fox patch belongs on my backpack.
where can I pre-order the deluxe edition in the UK? GAME has already sold out..
@starbuck2212 lmao
I want that Fox patch 😗
I'd be happy if it just included a soundtrack CD!
@Tatarimokke Amazon
They go through all this to show off a preorder without giving a date it’ll be available? Um… ok?
Wow that’s awesome.
Konami still haven’t us a release date for it yet and we already have a most probably very expensive edition announced already
Definitely snagging that steel case on eBay then put the disc inside that instead 😅
@Skeletor85 November 17th apparently
Deluxe Edition for me. That terrarium looks cheap and is just a huge dumb dust collector.
the recent lackluster mgs collection wasn't enough to dissuade people from pre-ordering future "konami" games, huh? been playing mgs series since 1998 but not a chance i give "konami" (in 2024) a dollar until they earn it. to buy a "konami" game on good faith is one of the most foolish things one can do in the current gaming landscape. but i suppose some people have more money than they know what to do with or lack any self control.
A lot of Americans can't even enjoy it themselves. Scalpers struck again here. I myself spent a few hours debating if I wanted it. By the time I decided, they were all gone on all retailers. People on reddit also reported they went in an instant, which can only mean scalpers and their bots swooped in.
I need that terrarium 💙
No preorders!!!!
And useless plastic junk is never worth the attention...
Will you be giving Konami your cash? This title could very easily be a pile of garbage….
@Porco I couldn't agree more with this sentiment. I tend to apply it to modern gaming in general. Being of an age where I always have a backlog to work through, I would far rather wait and read reviews than put down money on something that is either lacklustre or unfinished at time of launch.
