Massive Entertainment’s latest outing is a purely single player adventure, however, and so its inclusion is welcome. A blog post about accessibility reveals that you’ll be able to “aim using the controller's gyroscope, with settings for inversion, sensitivity, smoothing strength, and aim option to use roll for horizontal look”. It doesn’t sound like the feature will be as fleshed out as in, say, Fortnite – where there are many different setups and styles you can use – but its inclusion is appreciated all the same.
Should all shooters have gyro aiming on PS5? (370 votes)

Star Wars Outlaws will have a pretty impressive accessibility suite overall, and while we won’t be regurgitating all the details here, you can expect positional audio cues, difficulty toggles, stealth assists, hints, menu narration, font sizes, and much more. Some of the difficulty settings even have individual tiers, so you can, for example, make the game’s GTA-style Wanted difficulty more lenient but turn up the challenge of combat encounters if you want to.
It’s an exhaustive list that you should probably read through yourself, but we appreciate putting the power in the hands of players and allowing them to create the kind of experience they want. Accessibility lowers the barrier of entry for many, but everyone can benefit from the wealth of options on offer here. We’ll certainly be taking advantage of many of these features, including the gyro aiming.
