Mega Man 11 PS4 PlayStation

Publisher Capcom says the legendary Mega Man represents one of the company's most "highly valued IPs" and is looking into how to make more games in the series in the future.

The news came from the company's recent general shareholders meeting, and IGN listened along. In surprisingly optimistic news for Mega Man fans, a shareholder asked if any plans were in progress for the franchise. They were told: "Mega Man is one of our highly-valued IPs, and we are considering how to create games for it on an ongoing basis."

Mega Man is big business, selling over 41 million copies across the series, so this is good stuff for everybody involved. The last mainline entry was Mega Man 11, released in 2018 and available on PS4. In other Capcom news, the publisher says it's not ready to pull the plug on physical releases despite the overwhelming majority of its digital sales.
