A Tales of Xillia remaster might finally be happening — with an emphasis on 'might'. We've tagged this article as a rumour with good reason, because based on the evidence, this supposed leak could easily go either way.
Originally spotted by Reddit users, a number of European retailers (which are all owned by one parent company, it should be noted) have new product listings for 'Tales of Xillia Remastered', across PS5, PS4, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox Series. These listings alone wouldn't usually make for a convincing leak, but as pointed out in the aforementioned Reddit post — and reiterated by Wario64 — the games appear to have been registered to Bandai Namco as unique products in Europe.
This suggests that the remaster is real. Either that, or the retailers in question have, for some strange reason, gone out of their way to fabricate unique-looking product codes.
Tales of Xillia originally released for the PS3 in 2011 — and it remains locked to Sony's old console all these years later. Rumours of a remaster have actually done the rounds before, but nothing concrete has ever surfaced.
Oh, and these listings don't hint at a Tales of Xillia 2 remaster; only the first game is mentioned.
