The promising Tokyo-based action RPG REYNATIS will be supported post-release with nine additional free expansions, publisher NIS America has announced. According to a press release, the updates will include “new story episodes for main characters Marin Kirizumi and Sari Nishijima, along with a secret episode”. Unfortunately, there’s very little information on what these updates will actually entail, although that’s probably purposeful, as we imagine some of the content may include spoilers.
For those of you unfamiliar with the game itself, here’s the blurb: “REYNATIS is an atmospheric urban fantasy set in a realistic recreation of Shibuya, Tokyo, where the ultimate clash between magic and order is about to unfold. Seeking freedom through strength, the wizard Marin heads to Shibuya, where he meets Sari, an officer of the M.E.A., an organisation dedicated to keeping wizards under control.”
The game’s due out on 27th September, so it’s not too far away at this stage. Has this promise of post-release support convinced you to pre-order? Conjure up a response in the comments section below.

Why would post release content convince me to preorder? If anything it would encourage me to wait.
Really gorgeous art. Gonna add it to the wishlist.
Pre-order is a big no from me, but I'm definitely intrigued. I hope we get the demo in the US.
Great a reason to not buy it on day one, get it on a sale once all 9 free updates are out and get way more value for your money.
This game is definitely one on my radar for 2024
Reynatis is a great name for a venereal disease
@Czar_Khastik I'm guessing u have 1st hand experience 😉
@Drago201 Unfortunately yes, but had it been only hands, there would be no reynatis for me
@thefourfoldroot1 I guess my thinking was that it's free so the promise of post-release support may be appealing.
But fair point.

Depends. This isn’t live service, so in this case it just means they want me to hold on to the game while it loses value long after I would have already got rid of it, and likely until after I’ve generally lost interest and memory of what the hell was going. I much prefer to wait until everything is available.
Comes out in a too busy time for me with Astro Bot and Metaphor plus Zelda on Switch but will try it when I have time
Probably get it a later point then.
Have plenty to play and want to get before getting this anyways.
I love they are including neo world ends with you into this game, hoping Square does a PS release of the switch remaster of World Ends with you at some point
Probably not preordering, but very tempted in general.
