Look, let’s not beat around the bush: Marvel Rivals is going to be huge. Unfathomably huge. Let’s consider the facts: it’s free-to-play, it features some of the most recognisable characters on the planet, and it’s pretty fun. The closed beta test was already massive, but once this opens up to the public, it’s just going to explode. So, what’s the date you need to mark in your calendar? 6th December.
During a trailer at Gamescom Opening Night Live, two new characters were announced for the game: Captain America and the Winter Soldier. You can catch them in action above.
The most important detail, sneaked into the final seconds of the video, is that all launch day and future heroes will be available to everyone for free. So, while there will be cosmetic microtransactions, you’ll never need to pay to play as your favourite superhero. This is obviously a big deal, and while it’s become quite common to structure hero shooters in this way, the lure of Marvel had us sceptical. It’s good to see this tidbit confirmed.

That's a huge W for the game as they could have easily made a fortune selling them.
Is it just me, or are all MOBAs just the same game with a different paint job,
Pleased that there not locking characters behind battle passes and MTX.
@Enuo It's not a MOBA.
@Enuo Guess you don't actually know what a MOBA is as this isn't one.
Looks a big generic.
I've watched a few streams of this game and I really want to give it a try. Well keep an eye out for the open beta.
