Video game icon Mega Man will finally appear in a new PS5 and PS4 game, but it’s probably not the one you expected. While fans have been holding out hope for a new title featuring the Capcom mascot, they’ll have to make do with a crossover appearance in the upcoming Funko Fusion. You can catch the character, alongside his faithful robotic sidekick Rush, in action courtesy of the trailer embedded above.
Due out on 13th September, Funko Fusion bears a striking resemblance to the more modern LEGO titles, doesn’t it? That’s because developer 10:10 Games, making its debut here, has staffed up with ex-Traveller’s Tales employees, many of whom have worked on titles inspired by the famous Danish brick brand.
Other franchises joining Mega Man in the game include Jurassic World, Back to the Future, Jaws, The Thing, Chucky, Battlestar Galactica, Hot Fuzz, The Umbrella Academy, Masters of the Universe, Invincible – and, as you may have glimpsed at the very end of this trailer, Five Nights at Freddy’s. It’ll be interesting to see how it blends all of these properties, and if the final product is any good.

Pardon my ignorance, Is the Funko in this game any relation to the Funko toy models available for sale?

Except for missing the one thing that made the Lego games fun, couch co-op. Would have been day 1 for us but now I’ll just skip it until it’s in a rental service maybe. My wife is a big Battlestar Galactica fan.
@riceNpea Game is based on the Funko toys but there isn’t any toys-to-life connection, though they are selling toys based on characters in the game based on the toys.
doing mega man fans dirty with this
doesnt look bad though imo
Nothing hurts more than being a fan of Megaman and Castlevania, asking for a new game for YEARS, and then being met with "ok, we'll crossover with every other game on the planet instead." Frankly, you could probably make an entire new game in either series by mashing all their cross overs into one product, it's crazy.
