Shadows of Doubt now has a confirmed release date. The sandbox detective title — which features procedurally generated crimes that can offer up some truly crazy situations — is currently in early access on PC. That testing period comes to an end on the 26th September, as that's when version 1.0, and the recently announced PS5 version, release.
On a mechanical level, Shadows of Doubt is an impressive creation. As alluded, everything about your save is procedurally generated, including the city itself and its inhabitants. Playing as a private investigator, you'll pick up a case, track down those involved, and attempt to spotlight the culprit.
However, you may need to bend the law at times. Bribery, breaking and entering... even physical violence is an option if things aren't quite proceeding as planned. It's one of those games where you'll be making your own (potentially insane) storylines.
Will you be sleuthing through Shadows of Doubt on PS5? Suspect everyone in the comments section below.

Super excited for this to come out of early access. Indies are saving the immersive sim genre.
You get to bend the law, eh...
So could I stand on one side of the road, get the attention of a citizen on the other side of the road and command them to come over to me, and then ticket them for jaywalking?
It’s a bit of a shame that procedural generation has been unfairly tainted by the use of generative AI, this looks great.
I put a few hours into this on Steam and it's a really unique and cool game.
After playing through Nobody Wants to Die, I am ready for another crime detective noir game.
Very unique and interesting looking game.
Heck yes. Been hoping this would come to playstation.
Game is great and developers are lovely.
Sweet, it's been on my steam wishlist for ages but i prefer playing games on my PS5 so I'm glad i waited lol
As a rule I don't do early access, but this one really tested me as it sounds brilliant.
Yes, can't wait, my most anticipated this year by a long way. Just waiting on the price now.
