Square Enix has shared a fresh set of screenshots that showcases the Final Fantasy VII-themed clothing you can dress Max Caulfied up in if you buy the Ultimate Edition of Life Is Strange: Double Exposure. Including turtlenecks, hats, and jumpers, they feature chocobos, moogles, and an assortment of enemies from the JRPG classic.
Here are the screenshots revealing the garments:
To get the Ultimate Edition, you'll need to spend £74.99 / $79.99 ahead of the PS5 game's early access release on 15th October 2024. You'll be able to play chapters one and two from that date, and then the third and final episode arrives two weeks later alongside the standard edition's release on 29th October 2024. The Ultimate Edition also packs in an exclusive "Fan Favourite Outfit Pack" and two additional DLCs themed around cats.
Are the Final Fantasy VII items of clothing enough to convince you to grab the Ultimate Edition? Let us know in the comments below.

Ive never played this but i dont like her.. i just dont like her
Her hair looks a bit strange in those pics... like a plastic toupee.
They are using the moogle design from Rebirth, so absolutely not.
I preordered the base version of the game and FF7 is probably my goty, but no way I’d spend that much for a character in a game to get cool merch. If there’s a male version of that cactuar cardigan in real life though, I’d consider getting that…
Fair price for a significant DLC
Ah yes. Moogles and Chocobos from the hit game FF7. It's like people thinking Persona started at 4.
This game is way too expensive, there's a change it'll last less than 10 hours, or maybe up to 15 hours tops. It's not a proper AAA, which is good, but this has to also reflect on the price.
remember when the first life is strange game had first episode free and season pass for all episodes £14
how times and prices have changed in the last 9 years since then
Besides the Moogle, none of these are FF7 themed at all lol.
Where's Max? I don't see her anywhere in those screenshots.
@trev666 I'm not defending the new pricing, but that was back when the series was new. Price it cheap to try to get people to play it, but now that the series is well established they don't care.
No way in hell I'm paying $20 for that content, no matter how big of a fan I am of both Life is Strange and FF7. Even $50 for the base game is kind of expensive, but I thought True Colors released at around that price too. As much value as I personally get out of the series, I'd be willing to pay the $50 as long as it's on the level of True Colors. Depending on what else is out around then, I may still wait like I ended up doing with True Colors anyways.
Still not sold on Max’s design - obviously she’s not a teenager so will look different, but I don’t know anyone who changed THAT much in like under 10 years.
However, it’ll be down to personality and story in the end, I’m looking forward to it, and interested to see if the comics will be tied in. I’m not paying £75 for some T-shirts though.
I’d definitely wear a male version of those clothes (well, not the hat, at least not in public lol). Designs are awesome
