As is now a long-standing tradition, Sony's PlayStation Studios have gathered around on social media in order to celebrate the launch of a new first-party title. We are, of course, talking about Astro Bot, which has arrived on PS5 after months of anticipation.
All of the usual suspects have taken to posting congratulatory messages in the direction of Team Asobi. In particular, Naughty Dog (The Last of Us, Uncharted), Sucker Punch (Ghost of Tsushima, inFAMOUS), and Bend Studio (Days Gone) have posted some lovely Astro-themed artwork, which is always nice to see.
Meanwhile, Guerrilla (Horizon, Killzone) settled for an appreciation of Astro Bot's fantastic PlayStation Studios animation:
And then we've got Insomniac Games (Marvel's Spider-Man, Ratchet & Clank) basically just hosting its own office party for the occasion — which is fair enough:
Do you enjoy seeing Sony's studios band together like this? Are you happy to see Astro Bot be so well received? Hold your own celebrations in the comments section below.

Concord be like: "I really was a joke to you?"
@QiaraIris lol I dont remember any of these for that game
I pray hard that Astro Bot is so successful that it bitch slap Sony so hard that is enough for them to stop investing so much into live service crap and focus on making games such as this.
@EMQZ i was just gonna say this because I wasn't literally like "Huh that's strange". I didn't jump on the hate train that is Concord and liked that Sony attempted at variety.
@QiaraIris Concord? What's a watch brand got to do with gaming? 🤣
It's heartwarming to see everyone, critics, gamers and studios alike, come together in a joyous celebration of not just an incredible game (and yes, I'm playing it, as should you!) but a rich tradition that goes back three decades - and I'm old enough to have been there for all of them.
The Playstation of those early generations is still there, somewhere, it just needed something special to remind them of it. It's probably a bit utopic to think that this will reach upper management in the way we all hope, but I'd like to believe that every little bit helps.
And yes, spare a thought for Firewalk.
@Leon_93 I thought concord was an airplane?!
@QiaraIris @Leon_93 @Dodoo All this talk about Concord just sounds like sour grapes.
The art work is adorable as usual
But those cookies at Insomniac's office look way too delicious
@NEStalgia @Leon_93 @Dodoo I thought Concord was a Loony Tunes character?
I always enjoy and appreciate these moments because they don't come that often.
@NEStalgia It's Schadenfreude and it's funny. The server is also literally got shutdown today.
Unspoken words tones are perceived by the readers, are you sour that Concord is gone? The projection is real.
@EMQZ There was a couple, think it was Sucker Punch and Bend Studio that did artwork for it.
Played over an hour of it and Jeez if people thought Astro's Playroom was something, then that's nothing.
Most concerningly where is Hermen Hulst's new twitter head picture. He hasn't updated it. Perhaps the concord issue means he is unable to have fun 😔
My two kids are playing Astro Bot now and whooping and cheering over it. It's a hit with all generations. This is what gaming is all about and what Sony has missed for ages.
Well done Team Asobi
(Though if my 4 year old thinks he is trying the new dualsense with the white sticks he is sadly mistaken 🤣)
A pleasant pat on back is good for morale - more businesses should do it in similar cases.
I thought the Ghost of Tsushima artwork was a MF Doom Astrobot at first glance.
I played the first area of the game. It's so much fun. A great GOTY candidate.
Feel the love! It’s awesome!
It is best award when others in the same univers appreciate your quality.
@Rob_230 he hasn't used Twitter since he got the jew job. He's on the podcast though.
Tbf seeing how bad Twitter comments are it's the right choice. Harada schools idiots. Every time a Sony studio posts the top replies are 'where game' or 'please no dei'. Insomniac get replies like 'this is why you got hacked' because of Spidey DLC.
Santa Monica also did some cool art from one of their amazing artists! As usual! I love these and always go check each one to see what they posted.
Great uplifting stuff, we need more of this.
From Soft should've put up a Botborne tweet
