Sony has announced numerous PS5 games that'll be receiving a PS5 Pro update to take advantage of the new hardware, but many more have been discovered thanks to the PS Store. A new tag on the digital storefront flags whether a game will be PS5 Pro Enhanced, and there are lots of additional titles on top of what's been officially confirmed.
Over on the PS5 subreddit, a list of every title has been compiled, and we've checked each one for ourselves to ensure they are listed as PS5 Pro Enhanced on PS Store. They are indeed, with some big name titles in the mix, including (but not limited to):
- Dynasty Warriors: Origins
- EA Sports College Football 25
- EA Sports FC 25
- EA Sports Madden NFL 25
- Fortnite
- Kayak VR: Mirage
- Lies of P
- Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii
- Marvel Rivals
- Mortal Kombat 1
- No Man's Sky
- Star Wars Outlaws
- Test Drive Unlimited: Solar Crown
- The Callisto Protocol
- Until Dawn
- Warframe
All these games and several more are tagged as PS5 Pro Enhanced on PS Store, though details on precisely how each one takes advantage of the boosted console is yet to be revealed. For a full rundown of every game that'll look and run better on PS5 Pro, we've got that covered here.
We expect more games will join the growing list as we approach PS5 Pro's November launch. Are you excited to see these games running on the PS5 Pro? Tell us in the comments section below.

from ps5 enhanced of ps4 games to ps5 pro enhanced of ps4 games , what a time to be a gamer 🫠
I was also thinking about games which should automatically run better too, such as the RT modes in the Resident Evil remakes. I am contemplating getting one, well I have it preordered, it's just a case of whether I cancel it or not
Black Myth Wukong please!
How do you use/show that tag?
Last gen games galore!
If Monster Hunter Wilds get confirmed to have a Pro update then I will consider getting it but until then I am good
Cyberpunk please and thank you.
Baldur’s Gate 3 and Black Myth Wukong please and I'll for sure buy the pro version in November!
Cyberpunk 2077
Final Fantasy 16
Warhammer 40k Space Marine 2
BG3
Ghost of Tsushima
Please and thank you Sony
@PloverNutter I'll be very surprised if Wilds doesn't have a Pro mode
Bloodborne isn’t on the list I see
Fortnite doesn’t say PS5 Pro enhanced on the shop.
@carlos82 This is what I’m hoping too! Resident Evil 2 and 3 looked gorgeous in their PS5 updates with ray tracing, but ran like dogsh*t. Here’s hoping those frame rates can be ironed out! Been itching to play through 2 again…
@carlos82 Same. Preordered in USA while still fully on the fence, with plenty of time to cancel. There seem to he plenty to go around here, so no worries…
Returnal please
There's more games enhanced for this now before release ,than there ever was for the ps4 pro in its lifetime 😂
A number of backlog games that will be getting brought to the front when my Pro arrives.
Exciting times.
Might need another playthrough of the fantastic Lies of P then.
Shocked that Elden Ring hasnt been confirmed considering how bad the game runs at times.
Also surprised the already amazing looking and performing GOW Ragnarok isnt on the list as its a major Sony 1st party.
No Silent Hill 2 upgrade. Strange!
This console generation has been the most boring one. We have un-ergonomic dualsense controller. We get remasters and remakes instead of original IP’s. And everyone seem to be okay with it. I would like to see gamers choose with their wallets, so that the gaming market goes back to what it was.
I think the true value of the Pro will be based on how happy you are with the way a given game plays on the base PS5. If you are happy with it, then justifying, to yourself, the outlay on a Pro will be more difficult. If you play a game often, and it does not perform to your own personal standards, then a Pro might be worth getting. It all depends on whether you are truly going to notice the difference...
Dammit. Got a PS4 Pro to get the best out of No Mans Sky, and went for PS5 when they updated again.
Not sure how many essential organs I’ve got left to sell at this point.
@Sveakungen If a game has the PS5 Pro Enhanced tag, it shows above a game's title on its PS Store page (in the same place you'd see stuff like Standard Edition)
Would be interesting to see a PS5 Pro patch for Black Myth Wukong and Cyberpunk 2077 👀
Honestly I wanna see the so called PS5 Pro Boost mode for PS4 games rather than PS5 ones.
We already know PS5 games will be boosted to hell and back.
I was hoping that EA Sport WRC was also on this list.
Pretty exciting list of games there. I imagine this is going to just grow and grow and grow in the weeks before launch.
This list looks paltry, is this all of it? 🤷🏾♀️
@JalapenoSpiceLife Obviously not. There's a full list here: https://www.pushsquare.com/guides/all-ps5-pro-enhanced-games
And expect many, many, many more to be announced before launch.
@Splat I'd count on CD Projekt Red going back and patching a Pro-mode on Cyberpunk. They did that sort of thing for Witcher 3 with a PS4 Pro patch. Heck, there they even made a full-blown next gen port for the PS5 and gave it to people who had bought the PS4 version for free.
@Bettyswollocks probably dont want to disclose this feature as it will mean most people would wait November to buy it, but defo gonna have the pro mode
PS6 back compat is going to be lit
@Fiendish-Beaver
Bottled it in the end.
I was day one with PS4 Pro and Xbox one x
That gave me entrance to native 4K on a lot of games, no upscaling especially on Xbox one x.
But after reading and looking we really are getting diminishing returns for £700 especially as upscaling from lower resolutions seems not to be as clear and sharp as some existing Sony studio games like last of us in quality mode.
Bit gives you better fps but only upscaled tricky.
As where the last mid generation upgrades I could see the native 4K difference. A good example of that was Farcry 4 on Xbox one x. And this showed an advance without tricky stuff going on.
@carlos82 I'll definitely replay the RE remakes AGAIN if the RT modes get a 60fps patch! Plus I'd love to play Village again and that looked great in performance mode anyway.
Hhhhm, wonder if it’ll get rid of the reprojection ghosting in Kayak VR that nobody but me seems to notice.
@JediSnoogans that's thing, they shouldn't even need patching. The improved RT performance should automatically smooth it out to 60fps
@DonkeyFantasy
Sounds like a plan!!
Personally I’m excited by the Switch 2 and to play in better conditions all the quality games that Nintendo has released in the past years. I think I have squeezed the PlayStation catalog so far and no significant games are in the pipeline, so I will pass everything about Sony for the next 5 years and catch up later if it’s worth it. It’s pretty clear that without direct competition, Sony is not pushing innovation.
@carlos82 oh were they already 60fps with the RT? I tried it and hated how juddery it was, so never touched that option again. That's even better if I don't have to even hope for a patch!
@JediSnoogans yeah they were targeting 60fps but never get there, so they feel rubbish to play
What's everyone's guess when they will launch the ps6 , I really don't like the idea of shelling out 700 quid on this, only to see the ps6 launch 2 years later or less ,god knows how much that behemoth will be.
@B0udoir my kids love the switch , Mario party is the best , I love stealing their stars 😂😂 the switch 2 will probably be the first nintendo console I'll buy for myself in years 😁
@B0udoir I'm not sure why people keep bringing up this competition thing. The PS1 was amazing yet it turns out it had no real competition as the Saturn was a flop and the N64 was Nintendo's worst selling console so far (at the time). If you add both Sega and Nintendo's sales together, the PS1 outsold them by about 60 million (it more than doubled their combined sales).
The PS2 sold about triple what the Xbox, GameCube (sold even worse than the N64) and Dreamcast sold combined. If you add all three up, the PS2 outsold them by 100 million. The Dreamcast sold so badly it finished Sega as a console manufacturer and the Xbox lost MS billions it did so badly.
Both amazing consoles from Sony with no strong competition at all. Then the PS3 was their first stumble and, get guess what, it was the time they most had competition, from the Xbox 360 of course (Sony ended up selling just 3 million more), as well as the Wii being Nintendo's best selling console at the time. Sony have actually had increasing competition over time. Their golden age was when all them competitors combined were still massively outsold by them.
So glad I paused Lies Of P and FF7 Rebirth earlier in the year! Really looking forward to continuing them on when the Pro arrives.
I don't see thinking something through, and deciding against it, it bottling it, @OldGamer999. As I say, if you are happy with the performance of the base PS5, then getting the Pro is probably not necessary. If you play a game pretty much every day, and it performs badly, then that is a different matter.
The likelihood is that we will be getting the PS6 in 2027/8, and by then Sony will probably have worked out all the kinks in their version of DLSS, and without doubt it will be more powerful than the Pro. For me, that will be the time to upgrade the base PS5, even though I do have a little bit of FOMO when it comes to the Pro because I always like to have the best tech that I can afford. However, knowing that the PS6 will follow in the not too distant future, means I know that I am better off waiting its arrival, than spending on a Pro that in reality I really don't need.
What I will say though is that if you are looking to get a Pro, you are better off getting it sooner than later, simply because you want as much use out of it as possible. You really don't want to be getting it 2027, only to find that you need to replace it with the PS6 in 2028, for example. That to me, seems pointless. Better off being an early adopter in the long run if you are set on getting a Pro...
@Pranwell the lure might be there to test out how PSSR can be used for future games. I'm sure a small team could be made to implement a few RT sliders, too.
Here's hoping CP2077 and TW3 get a little look in. Sometimes devs can't be stopped tweaking if it's something new and exciting to try out that could help future releases 🙏
@Fiendish-Beaver
Yeah I get your points. And yes FOMO is always there but my brain feels unlike last mid generation upgrades after research I’m not missing out on much if anything. They still available on PS direct now, so no sweeping sell out, which normally would have included me.
As for next generation will be interesting what both Sony and Microsoft do and the release dates and of course the prices.
Nintendo is the real next interesting one very soon, well I think very soon 🤣
Still nothing on FFXVI, i really need to know!
I'm not getting a Pro, but it'll be good for some people that Star Wars Outlaws is on the list. I've enjoyed the game, but the game's Performance mode is another one that's poorly optimized, with the resolution being quite horrible at times. That would definitely benefit from the Pro, although I still say instances like that are more on the developers than the hardware itself.
Hopefully the ps5 version of dynasty warriors origins runs OK cuz they have not had a good performance with the last couple of days
@Quintumply 😊 Thanks
@Rich33 The Boost Mode within the PS5 Pro should assist Elden Ring on either locking the framerate or hitting the target framerate significantly more often.
@KilloWertz One could argue that all these image quality issues are a result of the developers not actually designing their games around 60fps and not the hardware, itself.
Yes, agreed, @OldGamer999. Still not 100% certain what I'm going to do next generation regarding Xbox. I have a very capable gaming PC, so a new Xbox is not an essential item for me, but I do love the convenience of a console. I will definitely get a PS6, but not the PS5 Pro. I also am not interested in the rumoured Xbox handheld. Indeed, I own a Switch, but have only ever play one game on it, so definitely won't be getting the Switch 2 (or whatever it is called) either.
Fraught times to be an Xbox console gamer, and Sony seem to have lost their way too at the moment. Only PC and Nintendo seem to be business as usual, and that dependability is very tempting indeed after all the high-end console shenanigans this generation...
The Pro has been around long enough now. People can stop complaining to feel special. Move on. I got one and, as a Performance mode player, it's a significant upgrade for me.
The phrase PS5 pro enhanced makes me want to throw up all over my duel sense....
@get2sammyb thanks for the link, I've have a look
Can someone tell me if Ray Tracing works in PSVR2? Thanks in advance .
@KillerBoy "Bloodborne isn’t on the list I see"
You're going to have to wait for the PS6 for that, this gen can't handle Bloodborne in all it's glory 💪
I, too, would like to see Cyberpunk 2077 and Elden Ring on the list.
I have seen a few people mention wanting a Ghost of Tsushima Pro update but I don't see why. The PS5 version already is native 4K and 60fps in quality mode. The only way GoT could benefit from a Pro update is if it gets ANOTHER remaster on par with the upcoming HZD remaster
@Pranwell yeah digital foundry did an analysis of the quality and performance modes of the PS5 version of GoT and they realized that the quality mode runs at 60fps across the board so the performance mode just lowers the resolution for no reason.
@GamingFan4Lyf
You know, i forget about that boost mode sometimes - must be a sign of me getting older, or it not really having been discussed in any real detail yet.
I have pre ordered a Pro, but Sony's own marketing & presentation of it has been crap! (Their marketing this whole gen has been bad - apart from a few standout game trailers like Astro bot and GOWR - but imo this is a new low).
PS5 Pro enhancements won't be near enough to fix The Callisto Protocol's issues.
@Voltan someone on reddit did spot in the Monster Hunter Wilds promotional imagery there is a note saying there will be a PS5 Pro update for the game, but it will only be targeting 30fps
https://www.reddit.com/r/MonsterHunter/comments/1fqpeze/for_those_hoping_ps5_pro_can_power_to_60/
I saw this list on the store last night and face palmed that Until Dawn, a remake of a near decade old PS4 game has a PS5 pro tag and it isn't even out yet 🤣
Don't forget Rockstar + now proudly wears the PS5 Pro Enhanced banner now, too, lol. Apparently it doesn't take very much to get that banner....
@OldGamer999 I think we talked about it before, but, yes, the ENTIRE upgrade here is simply the upscaler. That's it. It's a $700 upscaler to do a better job making 1080p look 4k. It has that "45%" GPU bump, but at 4k resolutions, when you're not already at 4k resolutions, 45% is barely anything. 100% isn't really enough. That minor bump helps smooth out some frame dips if they were already there, may help some extra shadow detail or AO get enabled or something like that here and there, but the purchase price is for the scaler and the extra 1TB. You're not doing "true" 4k at that performance. There are only 3 "true" 4k GPUs for current games in existence: 4080 ($1k), 4090 ($1.6k), 7900XTX ($1k.) That's it. Cards below that can do 4k of course, but they're really considered 1400p cards, that's their real sweetspot for performance/visuals on average. Pro falls into that. The problem is base PS5 was more of a "1080p card" but could do 1400p PS4 games. But, like with Pro, 4070's even 4060's can do pretty decent results to 4k upscaled and frame gen. But if you're looking for "real" 4k, and don't want to break out that wallet in those extremes, you're going to be waiting a very long time on consoles. I strongly doubt the PS6 will really be that either. The raw dies for that just cost far too much, with Nvidia using their datacenter AI chips to do it, and AMD kind of struggling (and bowing out of!!) that finish line. And they're doing PS6....
It's why some of us haven't been pleased with the pro for the price. It's actually less than a 4070 for more total money than a 4070 (because it's the whole system.)
But obviously if your library is all on PS, it's also the best you can get, too. It's why you hear a lot of us talking about the PC switch. The raw initial price doesn't look great, but it's also a question of what will it look next time, and the time after that. For anyone that MIGHT consider moving their library, the later you move it the worse it gets.
Meanwhile in game optimization land, the Metaphor Refantazio demo (not exactly a graphical powerhouse) is crippling 4090's on high settings down to the 40fps's with massive drops. Meanwhile I'm running it on my non-extreme Z1 ally on low settings just fine. And it's an Nvidia sponsored title. ??? (Yes, that's the demo which is to say beta/preview build so it may get much better but it launches in a week or two.)
Granted, I’m from the US, but I’m surprised to see so many people dislike the pro when they could do what I’m gonna do.
I’m getting one, but I’m gonna sell my PS five to go towards it. I guarantee that I’ll get at least $400 for it selling it online And I’m cool with having to spend $400 to get the newest upgraded piece of tech.
@Tineca trust me,that’s not gonna happen.
Sweet! I plan on getting NCAA on Black Friday so I’m glad it’ll see some bumps in improvement
@GamingFan4Lyf That makes sense, and would still be the developers' fault like I said as well. At least some of the issues this gen are definitely not the hardware's fault. There's too many examples to the contrary, but you can spend $700-$800 to brute force games to perform close to the way they should have from the start.
@NEStalgia
It’s all very interesting we aimed for 4K at 60fps for decades and we achieved it even last generation especially with the mid generation ups grade and of course we can achieve this generation and did.
It because either we want or the industry is just doing it, we seem to be going down the super looking realistic route, which of course is pushing things to far, so something has to give which of course is resolution and fps.
If you take Forza Horizon 4 on series x it’s native 4K at 60fps. Why because the graphics are at the level the series x can do that.
It’s only because the industry want to try and take graphics further that we lose native 4K at 60fps.
And why do they do it, so all buy new graphics cards and consoles.
Forza horizon 5 has great graphics why do we need higher graphics.
Keep the graphics at FH5 level then we can run games at native 4K 60fps. And just make new games at that graphical level.
Yeah I've felt for a long time that gaming was ruined by 2 things, one was Nvidia coopting the gaming industry to refocus it from making games instead to being a tech demo for the latest silicon's power simply to fund and develop the silicon for other more profitable things later. Nvidia more or less admits this. Jensen says they were "never a graphics company what was just a strategic thing".
The other is the younger waves of devs being seemingly technophiles and vain, indulgent artists who are only interested in using all the latest toys to replicate movies in real time rendering to stroke their own egos and curiosity and keep their "skills up to date".
The purpose of a modern video game isn't to be fun. It's to demonstrate what the latest silicon is capable of doing better than the old one.
How's no-one mentioned EAFC25, how could fifa possibly benefit from it 😭😂
@OldGamer999 The other thing in line with what you said that amazes me with how bad optimization is these days, these new games...ffxvi, metaphor, mhwilds, etc. These things are choking $3k+ 4090 rigs. The games are so unoptimized these days you can't even BUY enough brute force, it doesn't exist at all, it's not even manufactured yet. It had to suck on dev rigs too. And the 7800XT equivalent pro is going to be 60fps fidelity? Fat chance.. rebirth was exclusively made only for the PS5. And they're proudly shouting how the new hardware makes it not suck. It was made EXCLUSIVELY for the base ps5. If it sucks on there, that isn't a hardware issue.
@NEStalgia
I sort of summed the industry up in another article like this.
Gaming as a whole though is starting to ruin itself and it’s showing in the numbers.
A very small example:
Last generation 5 of us day one PS4 Pro.
This generation 1 out of 5 day one PS5 Pro, reason diminishing returns.
Star Wars outlaws, 3 of us definitely were buying day one, result zero of us did, reason overall not a great quality game.
My point, manufacturers and developers are slowly ruining things and losing sales, which in turn will hurt them and the industry and us.
They are turning into a make a fast buck industry, rather than giving good value for money and top quality.
As a PC guy first and foremost. For the people asking for Cyberpunk. A key feature that really makes that game pop on PC, is Ray Reconstruction. As of right now, I hope PSSR can provide that DLSS quality upscaling. However, Cyberpunk's ray tracing melts CPU's too. Maybe reflections. But none of the path tracing.
@Jayphex sell your most important one, the PS5!
@PloverNutter I suspect they will have to do this as a sort of make good.
They still don't have dragons dogma 2 running at 60fps on a base PS5 and announced a pro patch for it.
I imagine that based on the fact it's also an open world game on the RE engine, it will also struggle to meet 60 on the base
@NEStalgia
This whole up scaling thing.
Doesn’t PS5 and series x already have upscaling capability.
I think NVIDIA DLSS.
Also PlayStation has its checker board thing as well.
Obviously the technology is all moving to fast for me or companies are bashing things out maybe for the money, I’m not sure.
So why do we need Sony PSSR.
@PloverNutter so far it looks like monster hunter will have bad performance on PS5. PS5 Pro might be the only enjoyable experience unless they optimize it properly. At least that’s what is rumored, and based on the PC specs it really doesn’t look good
I am now playing tdu unlimited and it needs a lot of fixing. Maybe on the pro the stuttering is gone, but the game needs core fixes. GT7 runs much smoothly and it is much more good looking.
@Pranwell, hopefully. It's a different game entirely on PC (visually). I would love to see some PC features ported over. Although even if CDPR don't. It would be cool if Sony stepped in at a system level. Similar to Xbox with the One X. Forcing 16x Anisotropic filtering. Force PSSR implementation on titles below 4k to bring the image fidelity up. I dunno lol.
@KilloWertz Of course it would! People would then complain that games don't look any different than a PS4 game.
People just expect every generation to be this insane graphical leap AND run at 60fps.
Even on PC things have essentially stalled except for the ability to run games completely using real-time RT.
The biggest thing to come out of consoles this generation is the hardware decompression blocks mixed with high-speed SSD.
That is true. Load times and such like that have been a great thing for this generation. Unfortunately actual game design and such has gone straight in the toilet given how poorly some of the games are optimized.
I guess it's not a total surprise that this generation is a bit cursed since it had to start in the middle of a pandemic.
I'll be honest and say I'd actually consider getting the Pro at some point if it wasn't so damn expensive. I still believe it doesn't need to exist, but that's another story.
@OldGamer999 Why do we need PSSR? Because Sony is obsessed with making their own proprietary version of whatever exists for more money and declares it better, that's why.
That true but also snarky. There's three main scaling technologies. DLSS for Nvidia gpus (and most likely switch 2 as it's an Nvidia GPU), FSR for AMD GPUs (and both consoles), and XeSS for the new Intel GPUs still very young.
Of the 3, AMD is the worst one which is what both consoles have. PSSR is Sonys proprietary attempt at beating the AMD one the SoC comes with.
Here's the thing though Sony is new at this, AMD has been doing it a while and it's a much bigger AI knowledge base. This first draft is going to have problems the pro is an early access release, and they're showing select games for a reason.
Second, FSR gets a bad rep, on PC because it's directly compared to dlss for roughly the same price but worse. And second because the consoles are not using it properly. The consoles are trying to use it to upscale from absurdly low resolutions. These consoles should not be sold as 4k machines. No PC GPU at this power never is considered a 4k GPU. These are 1400p machines and that's precisely what they should be sold as. Scaling from 1080p to 4k is madness.
The other problem is that there are multiple output modes to FSR and DLSS. The consoles appear to be using the performance mode which is horrible, nobody ever should use it, and FSR in Ultra Quality mode is waaaaaaay better than what we're seeing on the consoles. It's not smeared Vaseline like the performance mode on consoles, it's biggest problem is the opposite actually. It over sharpened and can develop moire patterns in complex moving textures. But still looks much better than the consoles.
So why did Sony need their own? Because they're Sony. They already had a decent scaler from AMD for free in the APU they underutilized in the base console and the pro could have done for free at $200 less. But instead customers have to pay for Sony R&D to play with building their own AI models and designing custom silicon for 4x the money AMD can do it at scale to run it on.
But hey, premium prestige and all that. And sometimes it'll even be the better option!
Edit: and do you honestly think PlayStation is the reason they want to build their own AI models and silicon? F no. They want PlayStation customers to fund the r&d they're going to use to build the AI they'll use for medical imaging, cinema and broadcast products, automotive, and automation business tools. That's where the money really is.
How is The Callisto Protocol enhanced for the Pro? Didn’t that studio fold?
