Developer Teamkill Media teased just a couple of weeks back that its absurd dino-slaughtering simulator, Son and Bone, was "coming soon… very, very soon… seriously". Well, it drops tomorrow, 4th September (thanks, Gematsu). So, if you ever wanted to hunt monsters from prehistory with an anachronistic array of weaponry, ranging from revolvers to rocket launchers, you're in luck.
As you can tell from gameplay, it is unabashedly a video game, so if you've been unsuccessfully scratching that Turok itch we all get occasionally, this might do the trick. With a plethora of violent finishers and no reloading (because "ain't no one got time for reloadin'"), this looks like some fairly mindless fun, and we'll be interested to see how it's received.
What do you think of Son and Bone? Are you up for a Jurrasic safari? Get locked and loaded in the comments section below.

Watched the video from the other article and all I see is a new Serious Sam game. 🤷🏻♂️
This was pretty much shadow dropped like an rko out of nowhere
"it is unabashedly a video game." I'm glad that's cleared up..I wasn't sure at first but now I'm 100% sure.
Naaaah... I've wasted all my gaming money on Vampire Survivors, no more games till christmas.
@djlard but wasn't it worth every penny! I have already put in more hours than any other game this year.
Gori: Cuddly Carnage is the best, all round game of the year
@rjejr this has a lot less run backwards and shoot.
That's amazing news. I love the first two Turok games. I'm glad first person shooters are allowed to be dumb fun again.
@rjejr Agreed. This looks far more Serious Sam than Turok. I hope we don't start labelling everything with dinosaurs in either Turok or Dino Crisis
Saying that if this gets half decent reviews and is a good price point it could be worth a punt.
OK i've just looked up who the developers are and their previous games and... yikes. On second thoughts I'm staying clear of this.
@JB_Whiting fairly certain the name is a reference to Turok: Son of Stone, and the over-the-top death animations definitely are inspired by Turok.
@Pinkman of course it is worth it.
This looks kind of good. Every dinosaur game that comes out nowadays is a bloody horror game, which I'm not into.
But will I get a weapon that fires projectiles that home in on enemies' heads, drill their brains out and then explode?
Watched the videos that are on the PS Store...ouch, sadly doesn't look good considering this is an Unreal 5 game...as far as the subject matter, dinosaurs, yes, cowboys, nah. Not for me. 100GB of cutscenes incoming.
I tried quantum error, somethung cool was happening but its not worth playing such a crap game.
@LikelySatan I hope this game is good but the dev does not have a good track record. I do love the stupidity of it.
The last game by these guys, Quantum Error, was an absolute unmitigated DISASTER. I couldn’t believe how bad it was. It was stupefying. Accordingly I will be steering welllllll clear of this one.
I'm wary of this game. Considering the fact we got stinkers like Skull Island: Rise of Kong I'm waiting for Reviews first.
@Zemo55 Great minds think alike.
