Console-bound RPG fans have watched with envious eyes the strange delights and modifications their PC brethren have enjoyed for about as long as both platforms have existed. Thankfully, we live in a bright, hopeful age in which Baldur's Gate 3 is not only real but one of the best games ever made. Now, just a month and change behind players on PC, it even has mod support on PS5.
In the grand tradition of Larian updates, Patch 7 is extremely girthy, with the update getting its own animated short. Players with the fortitude to commit to a properly evil playthrough can look forward to a slightly gratuitous 13 new ending cinematics (considering what a bunch of white knights gamers are) to properly depict the depths of your depravity. Even more legendary actions have been added to Honour Mode, giving enemies new skills and behaviours if you still need more replay incentives.
Mods are the main attraction, however, and taking a quick look at the current PS5 offering, it's just a few pages right now. Presumably, more will be added in time, but (after wading through endless hair and cosmetic unlocks) we were excited to see that both Adjustable Party Limit and UnlockLevelCurve—Level 13-20 are already available on console, which probably means we'll have to fire up a fresh playthrough.
