We haven't heard much from the Arc Raiders front recently, so we were pleasantly surprised to see a hefty chunk of gameplay emerge in the last few hours. The co-op shooter turned survival extraction game from Embark, the studio behind The Finals, looks to be coming along nicely.
In the six-minute gameplay reveal, we get some post-apocalyptic scene-setting, following a group of raiders as they scavenge for supplies. Our favourite sub-genre of trailer, we are treated to overly serious commentary and the type of scripted gameplay you never see online (no one randomly jumping or spinning in place, for starters).

That aside, Arc Raiders looks great and has done so since it was first revealed. The gameplay looks tight, putting us in mind of a more action-based The Division (sans sticky cover), and we'll be interested to see how it all shapes up. There is still no word of a release date yet, but hopefully, we learn something more concrete in the months ahead.

Looks interesting. Hopefully it won't be ruined by the cheaters that plagued the finals as I was really enjoying that game with my friends online until the auto aimers and wall glitches etc ruined the game.
Doesn't look very interesting. So you loot, fight and leave? Combat seems very boring.
Looks promising. It just feels like the perfect setup for a pretty game shell disguising a never ending loop of live service schemes masquerading as shallow progression.
The tech and art style looks great, too bad it wasn't put toward an actual game and story. Who knows maybe it has more, however this is the outfit that uses a ton of AI designed drivel for those aspects, including voice, so I wouldn't hold my breath.
Here's hoping to something interesting, yet fully expecting just another addiction based scheme full of cosmetic nonsense and stat loot carrot on a stick motivations.
@Northern_munkey I hear ya. I have pretty much given up on mp games because of this. I was a die hard socom player back in the day. However cheating has become so widespread and frankly economic for the creators, users, and devs, that it just not fun to engage with any of it anymore as there is really no desire on the dev side to get rid of them.
It looks so boring I could barely finish the video. I was really impressed by the first trailer of the game two years ago, where you seemed to be playing in co-op to take down giant robots. But since they decided to make it a generic extraction shooter my interest in the game totally vanished. Unfortunately for them, they learned nothing from Helldivers 2 success. People want cool co-op PvE games with interesting lore and fun gameplay loop, not this generic PvPvE looting stuff.
Gamers are crazy. They’ll bash the hell out of Concord and then say this game looks promising. SMH
Couldn't even finish the whole video..
It just screams generic on all fronts.
Man that logo and box art had me excited for some fun retro-futuristic visuals. But this looks like it could be any military shooter with a few stock sci-fi elements plopped in.
Disappointing. Concord might not have hit the nail on the head but they at least went all in on their visuals.
Looks a bit formulaic to me. Im not a big extraction shooter fan, so I guess its not aimed at me, but I dont see any USP here that makes this game any more interesting than all the other games of its ilk.
I wish them luck, but this one is not for me.
I was really interested in this before they retooled it as an extraction shooter, now I'll probably never touch it.
Not my kinda game, but if it's half as good as The Finals is, we're in for a treat.
The attempt to blend mission-based objectives and PvP extraction nonsense is going to make or break the game - as a longtime fan of The Division/Division 2 this does have me intrigued. ofc in those games NYC is as much the star of the show as the gameplay and the setting in Arc Raiders doesn't have me all that convinced - Fallout with car parks.
This looks more bland and generic than Helldivers.
