It’s business as usual at developer FromSoftware, while Sony sniffs around parent company Kadokawa. At the PS Partner Awards in Tokyo overnight, where Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree won the Grand Award, president Hidetaka Miyazaki revealed his studio is working on a number of new titles.
“We have multiple projects in the works across a variety of genres,” he said as reported by Game WATCH and translated by Gematsu. “There are titles directed by me, as well as titles directed by those other than myself. In that regard, I think we’ll be able to show you a new FromSoftware in a variety of ways, so please look forward to it.”
Of course, prior to finding global success with the Souls games, FromSoftware always developed a spectrum of experiences. It initially achieved fame with the first-person dungeon crawler series King’s Field on PS1, but also released titles like The Adventures of Cookie & Cream on PS2. Last year it made a new entry in its long running mech combat franchise, Armored Core.
Given that both Erdtree and the aforementioned Fires of Rubicon released relatively recently, we’re not expecting any imminent announcements from the studio. But when it is eventually ready to share some news, what are you specifically hoping to see?

A title is the vein of Sekiro no doubt. I don’t necessarily want a sekiro 2. I just loved the combat so much. Maybe take that combat and build on it and tweak it the way BB did with Souls combat. Or Sekiro 2… that would be great too
The Adventures of Cookie & Cream 2: Cookies Revenge
Considering the success of Armored Core 6, I would love to see an expansion and/or AC7 next. Also, really hoping for a new A.C.E game and yes, I think it's about time Fromsoft revives the King's Field series
I hope they don't take over you've no idea how bad it is for other things not just the gaming industry
And none of these projects will have anything to do with Bloodborne.
I'd love to see a new entry in the King's Field series. Would be interesting to see the current team tackle the slow, deliberate and punishing gameplay. But seeing as the Souls-games has kind of evolved from that, I doubt it'll happen.
Or just give us something completly new to keep the creativity flowing and morale high.
That last clip at the end of 30th anniv reel must be a tease of something 👀
@HRdepartment absolutely, never been a more satisfying combat system imo
More than one Miyazaki directed project, and more than one directed by others, eh... I predict a pipeline consisting of Bloodborne 2, Elden Ring 2, Armored Core 7, and some mysterious new IP maybe.
If not a Bloodborne remake project, I guess. I would assume that might be from Bluepoint though, if it even ends up happening.
And Sekiro was phenomenal, so I'd be thrilled to see a sequel to that too. Just seems like the least likely property of theirs to get a follow-up.
The more we get from… erm… From… the better! 🙌

More from software games is always welcome.word up son
Maybe a Soulsborne in a Chinese setting? That could be really cool ^__^
Please bring back King's Field...
Just give me Tenchu... that's all I want... bring thst back and I'll be happy
For gods sake will they just hurry up and release a Souls-like open world Shrek simulator already? We all know they’re capable of it.
How about a wee kids game for our Anti-Matter to play ?
Besides the obvious (Elden Ring 2), I want to see an Echo Night revival. I can't say I've played the games yet, but I think a return to the franchise would be good incentive to give it a go.
This isn't really news. They were working on Elden Ring and Armoured Core simultaneously, now those are both done, i'd expect them to be working on at least 2 new games.
@Frmknst git gud 😉
Oh also it just occurred to me an old school traditional J-HORROR game would be amazing they made one called Kuon back in the day maybe they could take another crack at it ^__^. WE NEED MORE J-HORROR DAMN IT!!!!😅
I'd very much so like an Armoured core 7
Bloodborne 2 - The Electro Boogaloo
(Cue A Hunter popping and locking to electro music)
Speaking of kings field I’d love to see fromsoft take another crack at something like that
I just want a new Tenchu and if From Soft can't provide that then just remaster Tenchu 1-4 or Tenchu 3 which is the best in the series.
@Nakatomi_Uk for who to take over? Sony?
Tenchu, Echo Night, Kuon, King's Field, Armored Core, Forever Kingdom, Eternal Ring... They've done a lot outside the Souls genre. Lot of stuff they could work on from the old AgeTec days.
@torne This is owned by Activision Blizzard isn't it?
@Flaming_Kaiser no they only published the games. They were developed by From.
