Years and years ago, HoYoverse announced a Genshin Impact anime, which fans are still waiting to watch. There’s been no real update on the project, and many have assumed it’s now on hiatus.
However, that’s not stopped the Chinese studio from starting to make more and more anime shorts to promote upcoming updates and characters. Mavuika is the latest to get the treatment, scoring an epic 10-minute animation that’s already racked up over a million views.
You can watch it in English above, but if you prefer, you can also find the Japanese dub through here.
These animated trailers are becoming increasingly common across HoYoverse’s games. Ahead of the release of the highly anticipated Hoshimi Miyabi in Zenless Zone Zero, the studio also released a shorter animated trailer for her:

If I remember correctly the anime was announced to be in the works by Ufotable and they are too busy making (with Aniplex/Sony and Toho) what has the chance to be the biggest trilogy of anime movies in the history of anime so I think Genshin will have to wait a little longer.
The animation in those trailers looks nice but if the anime is actually made by Ufotable you know the world will be watching. Ufotable was already special before Kimetsu no Yaiba, once they finish the project they will be just what Hoyo or any other company interested in an anime adaptation would be looking for.
I really, really, really want a ZZZ anime. Their shorts have been stellar.
As GymratAmarillo mentioned, Ufotable are too busy with the Demon Slayer movie trilogy of the series' final arcs so it will be a long wait for the GI anime.
Until the Switch release, my Genshin activity and acquaintance remains very limited, but we're talking Ufotable here.
@PorkChopExpress It’s an extremely creative medium that has top tier shows for any type of genre you like and can take liberties that tv and film just can’t pull off. A really great anime is an art of its own. Plus if you’re looking for dopamine hits in the form of ludicrous action set pieces, you won’t get them anywhere else. Some of the fights in things like Jujutsu Kaisen or Chainsaw Man could never really be done in live action.
