Update []: Following the Xbox Store leak on Monday, it's been confirmed that Hell Is Us will indeed release for PS5 on 4th September 2025. You can check out the new trailer above.
Original Story: The brutal, exploration-focused action title Hell Is Us may be part of the rumoured State of Play livestream that's widely speculated to take place later this week. The Xbox Store has pushed live a pre-order page for a Deluxe Edition priced at $80. Then, the Twitter account PlayStation Game Size — which scans the backend of the PS Store for new uploads and updates — has posted a release date of 4th September 2025.

The profile suggests the Deluxe Edition will release four days earlier on 1st September, which lines up with a description found on the Xbox Store page: "Preorder the Deluxe Edition of Hell is Us to unlock the game 72 hours early for free and to receive a free, exclusive cosmetic items pack for Remi and his drone KAPI." At the time of writing, the PS Store only has a standard wishlist function — there's no option to pre-order yet.
Hell Is Us was originally announced almost three years ago, but made a bigger splash more recently in a State of Play showcase last September. You'll be left entirely to your own devices to work out what you do and where to go. Here's how developer Rogue Factor puts it:
"No map, no compass, no quest markers: following your instincts is part of the adventure. Enjoy a unique experience that uses innovative writing and level design to let you make your own decisions and follow your instincts as you explore. Your discoveries are yours alone."
It's officially slated to release for PS5 in 2025, but a final release date may be confirmed by the end of this week. Do you like the look of Hell Is Us? Share your thoughts in the comments below.

I hate when these things leak.
Go anywhere, do anything, eat a sandwich, take a nap with the game in the background, or don’t, it doesn’t matter to us. Are you unable to decide between Death Stranding or Elden Ring? Call 555-HELLISUS and talk to one of our licensed professionals.
Only the deluxe edition up for pre-order, eh?
I do expect this one in the State of Play for sure. Sony needs to announce this puppy before the whole thing leaks… It seems we may have a stacked, full year slate of releases, which is wonderful
Ok if this SOP is real I'm already getting signs to just wait for the trailers to go up after
Looks like a mix of DS and Forspoken for me. Interesting.
The no hand holding part interests me greatly.
I thought this was about the new administration..,....
This caught my interest when it shown last year, still need to see more (obvs) but could be a banger.
Looks good I thought was ps only though tbh might grab this if reviews decent 🙂 can't find no pre order or anything on console Xbox store 😭
I like the idea of exploring without any map markers but I like SOMETHING to help guide me. KCD2 has been balancing it well
@NotTelevision I read that as HELL I SUS and realized I have brainrot.
If this year has this many titles it makes it all the more confusing as to why Sony is so quiet. I don’t get it, it’s almost like they don’t care.
Looks super cool but I hope you get to fight more than just those white things.
Im so intrigued by this.. the no help whatsoever, no map markers, no direction markers, appeals to the ole survival instinct, just hope its not yet another soulslike
This looks like one of the most intriguing games of the year to me. Definitely high on my list. Can't wait to learn more.
Hello there fellow gamers.
I kid you not, this could very well be a sleeper hit in the making.
I for one, am very curious with this game. There´s just something about that I find apealing and fascinated.
There is a certain vibe, atmosphere and mistery that I like a lot.
So many games to look forward to this year alone. Kinda crazy.
Cheers good people
