Lies of P is a twisted take on the tale of Pinnochio, an excellent Soulslike from South Korean developer Neowiz, and, rising above all other claimants, is the true successor to Bloodborne's currently vacant throne. Overture is an expansion expected in the Summer of 2025, and we have an evocative story trailer to fire our imagination in the meantime.
A prequel to the base game, players will be transported back in time to a Krat at the peak of its majesty before the apocalyptic Puppet Frenzy reduced it to its present, dismal state. Accompanied by a mysterious sabre-wielding woman, P will: "Embark on an unforgettable adventure where the symphony of steel clashes with the haunting melody of the unknown. Dare to unravel the mysteries of the past, for in the heart of darkness lies the key to unlocking the secrets of a timeless tale reborn."

As it happens, this scribe is currently stuck on the final boss of the base game, having slammed his head against the impossibly fast clockwork wall that is the Nameless Puppet, having been bested dozens of times in recent days. This trailer couldn't have come at a better time, motivating us to get back up, dust ourselves off once again and keep trying.
Did you play Lies of P? Are you as excited by the possibilities of Overture as we are? Don't you dare tell a lie in the comments section below.

Day one buy for this!👌
Nameless puppet (off of memory): try to parry / perfect block his attacks rather than dodge, use electric arm early on, and spam bombs near the end of the fight where he goes nuts on you - bought from a seller (from respawn point) through a door and up a ladder in the area where black cat and red fox accompany you for a time. Sorry, its too long ago for me to remember every name!
And yes, dlc on day 1 for me as well. Fantastic game, and as good as any Soulsborne imo.
I am yet to finish the game (because I am bad at soulslikes) but the premise and world are enough to keep pulling me back in every few months, so knowing there's more of the game coming is nice.
After I finally beat thunder lady, I decimated nameless puppet in a second try.
Not played the base game yet but its on my list for sure, will probably grab it when they do a complete edition.
I did think yesterdays trailer was pretty bad tho, the one last west showing gameplay was a much better trailer overall to generate interest.
Lies of p is a near perfect game to me. So thisll be an easy day one buy
So Overture is a standalone piece where we start fresh, or are we going back in time leveled up with all our gear through some magic puppet portal or something? And accompanied by an NPC partner during combat? Hmmm, questions afoot…
@Dalamar interesting. I think I beat her 2nd time and then Nameless Puppet kicked my head in for about an hour
N.i.c.e. lies of p is such a incredible game.word up son
In the last 5 years, a Pinocchio soulslike, and a horror film. There's already a Winnie the Pooh game that's apparently quite ominous. Bring on the mega-hard, twisted Peter Pan game next, I guess. Pending title: Escaping Neverland Ranch 😅
I love the game, but I wish P didn't have to lie so much. Couldn't it have been called The Truth of P just as effectively?
