Sony will publish Stellar Blade on PC, as it continues to ramp up its efforts on Steam and the Epic Games Store.
While fellow console exclusive Rise of the Ronin is being published by Koei Tecmo, the Japanese giant is helping Korean developer Shift Up bring its character action hit to a new audience.
As reported previously, heroine Eve and co will crash land on PC in June, alongside a bunch of new content inspired by smartphone gacha game, NIKKE: Goddess of Victory. It’s worth underlining that all of the new content will also be available on the PS5.
Shift Up has said that it expects the PC version of the game to sell better than its console counterpart, but either way, it looks like the future is particularly bright for this fledgling franchise.
In other somewhat related news, Sony will also publish Lost Soul Aside on Steam, which is launching on 30th May on both PS5 and PC.

Oh noooooo...another PlayStation game going to the PC...its the end of civilisation 😱
Welp we're going to see a certain community go wild once they get Eve's files in their hands...
@ATaco 🤣
@Northern_munkey no but it is money the dev could have had along with Xbox and PC if Project Eve didn’t get bought into a PS5 timed deal. Which i think it’s fair to say less and less dev’s want to do anymore, cause they want PC, PS, and Xbox money all upfront. This game sold around 2 million units last i seen. Could be a touch higher and i am sure by now it is. But it didn’t set the sales charts a fire. If it skipped PC i would be shocked as money was left on the table for a title that was first announced as a multi plat.
The console exclusive is finished.
Xbox to PlayStation, PlayStation to PC. And this is a good thing.
Stellar blade just joining anything with buns 🤣
@LifeGirl Yup, pretty much every one has chosen their platform and won't move now, so at this point just get your game to as many players as possible, this ain't the PS3 era anymore.
@HonestHick was it just timed exclusive not ps altogether? Not coming to Xbox is it or down line?
@Oram77 yeah but Xbox dropped the ball and got left behind. Saying this as an Xbox fan for over 20 years.
@ATaco yeah the people who like good games community lesgoo
Anis and Rapi my beloveds 🤤
@HonestHick I’m sure Shift Up also got a big bag of money for the exclusivity deal, they did their own calculations if it would be worth it, and probably wouldn't push through if it was not worth it to them.
This is one of the PS5 exclusives I think could be a hit on PC. The other is Astro Bot.
@LogicStrikesAgain true but then the industry has to have that same energy when games go to GP, cause it’s the same thing, it’s taking an upfront check for lost sales not being other places.
Going forward i see less and less deals like this as even Square isn’t doing single platform no more. Most dev’s now want their games everywhere. Which is good for the gamer.
@Decimateh-xblz Stellar Blade was Project Eve and announced as a multi platform title.
Excellent decision, it was about time. Sony pays for these games, it makes all the sense in the world for them to be the publishers on pc and keep making money from it.
In the last 4 months they have reveled being the publisher of 3 games on pc, it took them long enough to realize that should always be part of the negotiations.
@HonestHick didn't know that. Il keep an eye out incase it comes Xbox down line then 😅 thnx for replying 🙂
@HonestHick I sometimes think my very obvious sarcasm is lost in translation 🤔
@Decimateh-xblz anytime friend. Yeah i don’t think it will now as it’s no longer Project eve and it’s stellar Blade. But i am happy to see it hit the PC. Hopefully it will pick up some sales there and we will get a sequel for those that want it. 😃
@Northern_munkey eh it’s not you friend, it’s me, it was early in the morning and i was upset at the state of play last night, so i am captain grouchy haha. I just wish Sony wouldn’t have wasted all that time in bad live service games. Year 5 and i still don’t use my PS much. I do like live service games and hope they continue to try but at least make good enough ones to launch and stay on the market for a year or two. Sprinkle in a few single player games and I’d be happy. Anyways hope you enjoyed the show and have a great early to mid year of games to enjoy 😃
I'm glad that PC gamers will be able to enjoy this gem!
@LifeGirl console exclusives aren’t done. The PC base isn’t the console base and doesn’t cannibalize console sells. People will still want a PS or Xbox if console exclusives can attract them to a certain platform. And most families will still buy consoles as PC will still remain niche.
@Oram77 Third party developers have almost always been multi platform. Exclusives will continue for Nintendo and Sony. As they need people to buy their hardware since both companies are hardware companies at their core. Microsoft is heavily a software company and can afford to push its software everywhere. And they are doing so now since they aren’t exactly winning in the console hardware market. In which many have adopted their narrative. Now if MS was a dell or HP then Xbox would truly be in a dire situation. People buy into certain brands for what they uniquely offer.
Christmas comes early for all those pervy no-life pc modders
