Sony Santa Monica is celebrating the franchise's 20th anniversary with a free update to God of War Ragnarok, inspired by the first God of War and its original working title. Thus, the "Dark Odyssey" set will allow players a new set of cosmetic options for Kratos and friends.

In addition to these new cosmetics, you can now use the "Edit Appearance" feature to transmogrify your chosen look onto any gear you currently have equipped, ensuring you don't need to make any tough decisions, although fashion should always come before function. Inspired by the working name of God of War (2005) and the skin that originally appeared in God of War II as a reward for beating the game on God Mode difficulty, we have brought back the black and gold theme for the anniversary.
