Moon Studios, which just recently purchased its independence along with the publishing rights to No Rest for the Wicked, its incredible-looking action RPG currently in Early Access, has provided a lengthy update on the state of the game. Over 25 minutes, we see a bunch of gameplay, and learn that the game has already grown quite considerably in response to fan feedback.
The majority of the video is spent detailing The Breach update, which effectively doubles the size of its game world, adding in new story elements, enemies, boss fights, and gear. PC players were expecting to see co-op added to the game first, but that will come as part of the next major update.

Finally Moon gets its "one more thing" moment, revealing that longtime composer and collaborator, Gareth Coker, has returned to work on No Rest for the Wicked. Previously, Coker had worked with Moon to craft the soundtracks to both Ori games, as well as being the master behind the big, booming drums and stirring sounds and strings of Halo Infinite.
What do you think of Moon Studios' take on the action RPG genre? Are you looking forward to No Rest for the Wicked? Let us know in the comments section below.

It's hard to look forward to a game when we have no idea about when the 1.0 release is going to be. I wonder if Sony will ever start allowing early access titles on their store.
@Ainu20 path of exile 2 is in early access isn’t it? Did they have to get some kind of approval?
But yes, I have a feeling this game is going to be fantastic
It looks okay but I'm not personally a fan of the art. That's definitely a "me" thing, though.
@get2sammyb I second that notion.
@Clytorial_Impact You're right, Path of Exile 2 seems to exist as early access on PS5. It's even more curious because the full release of that game will be free to play. I'm not sure why they couldn't do the same for this game then.
Personally art looks fantastic, quite unique. Curious to see what the farming mechanics look like but already loving what I’ve seen of the combat. Also the story looks interesting, with a lolly or vying factions.
The core gameplay looks good, but the UI and inventory management like a chore. Many of us have to do too much of this kind of stuff for work. How can someone like it in games?
I hope they allow crossave between PC and console.
I am beyond excited for this game
This looks great, I'm looking forward to learning more.
I'm looking forward to this, especially after positive previews. But it also just doesn't grab me like Ori did, that was a Day 1, not sure this is for me.
The game I'm most looking forward to right now! Always keen for more coop action/ adventures, to take me back to the good old days of playing BG Dark Alliance with friends.
I can't wait for this. I've had my eye on it since its first reveal. I've been tempted by the PC release since it released, but I don't like getting tired of a game before it's even at its best. EA just isn't for me.
Makes me feel like a little kid at the window of a candy store, though... I see the goodies and other people enjoying them, but I'm not allowed in the store. Lol
Nice, can't wait to play it both on my ps5 and ps portal when it launched complete 😃
@get2sammyb The long face is kind of weird but it give the game a bit of surreal vibes, like this is a fantasy world and not a real world. Given the choice I want a normal and not long face though, lol.
I’m really looking forward for this one but there’s something about the art style that puts me off plus I don’t trust all this early access thing/concept at all. Give me a complete game whenever it has to be ready and thats it.
Been on my wishlist on PS5 for a while and will continue to be.
Liked the look of this ever since I first saw it. Hopefully there will be news of a PS5 version soon.
I loved Ori games, but another grim diablo style rpg just can't excite me, plus I hate early access.
This is an odd one for me, I bought the EA and played it and the game feels like it's built to be a live-service thing...or maybe just a game where they keep adding content? It certainly didn't feel like a SP, story based game.
Love the art style though.
@Clytorial_Impact I think it’s generally a matter of implementation. The first path of exile also came to PlayStation the same day as poe2, so presumably there was a degree of “may as well have both.” Early access is also not often liked, as while this announcement was certainly pretty great and the response has positive, the game has been in a pretty rough spot for the last year. The last update added very little and wasn’t generally well received, and there are plenty of issues with optimization as well.
That being said, I’d love to see more early access titles on PlayStation as some of them are so amazing that I want to support but feel they’d better suit a format from the couch. Kristala is a great example, if you haven’t checked that out on steam I highly recommend it.
I love me a good ARPG. But I really dislike soulslikes.
I fell off PoE2 pretty hard because of the soulslike elements. So I probably skip this one.
@dBackLash I keep hearing about PoE2 having souls like elements..where? I've been playing the PoE2 early access since it came out on the ps5 and I personally don't see anything souls like about it at all..its a lot more diablo 2 inspired than d3 or d4.
@Qu1n0n3z early access allows the devs to communicate with the players and tweak the game via the constant feedback they get. PoE2 is the only early access game I've ever purchased and I don't regret it one bit but I understand why people just aren't enamoured with the whole early access thing.
This looks really up my street!
Only problem seems to be the character creation where the bodies seem to indicate a lot of pie eating.
@Northern_munkey The clunky combat that's balanced around the dodgeroll is way more inspired by soulsgames then any other arpg
@dBackLash I'm not seeing it..the dodge roll is exactly the same as it was in diablo 3. There is nothing in PoE2 that's remotely like any souls mechanic and I've played every single souls game.
