@Wazeddie22 A couple of hours in it genuinely felt like a 7 or an 8, but just gets bogged down with some incredibly strange design choices. There's a superb game buried deep within here somewhere.
@nessisonett it's definitely a person-by-person basis. I enjoyed the original (I reviewed it here and gave it a 7), but as a devoted player of that game, this one arrives as a bit of a thud. I sunk a fair amount of hours into the first, and with the second coming so hot on its heels it really doesn't address any of the flaws from the original.
@FinneasGH The WWE 2K games attempt to be a simulation of pro wrestling, so the gameplay is pretty focused on realism. Stuff like stamina and weight differences come into play. If you looking for something to mirror what you would see on TV you'll probably enjoy this, even with a slightly steep learning curve. If you're looking for an arcade experience, Fire Pro World would be a better choice.
@Fight_Teza_Fight The objectives are a double-edged sword. In some cases, it makes the match a lot easier by doing them, a la the Cena match. But when it came to the WrestleMania 30 triple threat I found that completing all the objectives made it so much tougher.
@Anguspuss As addressed by others, I do mention the microtransactions. Unlike 2K's other sports title, this one actually handles them really well. Microtransactions are almost exclusively limited to cosmetic items for your MyPlayer and never once do you need to spend actual money on upgrading your guy/girl, unless you want to be a 99 overall right away.
@Nightcrawler71 The price is definitely quite steep for a Bomberman entry. They could get away with it at launch on the Switch because owners would have been desperate for games, but not sure they can get away with it here.
@KALofKRYPTON I'm really hoping they fix the online because I can see myself sinking a lot of hours into this. A good Bomberman online experience is something I've been craving since Bomberman 64.
@Fight_Teza_Fight The story definitely picks up steam the further you get into it.
You always have the option to bump up the combat difficulty if you're finding it too difficult, but I found that the mid to late chapters had a number of battles that provided a solid challenge.
Obviously, it depends on how you play, how many side quests you take on etc. but 45-50 hours is what I'd estimate the ballpark figure would be for most people who aren't trying to do absolutely everything in their initial run.
@FullbringIchigo That's tough to say. I think it really depends on whether you want to replay the game on PS4 and if you didn't get the DLC originally.
@YETi The devs have been incredibly active in acknowledging issues raised by players, so hopefully it means some of these little annoyances are quickly ironed out.
@EWolf The art and graphics are definitely amazing. The dev team should be commended on creating such awesome art and sound. I wanted to make sure I gave credit for that in the review, because for a small team they've certainly creates something visually special.
@Donald_M He had a good point initially, but the pile of insults was definitely unwarranted. There's never going to be a consensus agreement on the quality of any video game. I know I've played stacks of games I thought were brilliant, but were widely panned by critics, and vice versa.
@Hellbringer1975 Very good point. This review is simply my opinion and I'm sure there are many gamers out there that will disagree with me and love this game.
@sinalefa I just did some digging through the menu and there actually is a colourblind option! Not sure how well it works as I'm not colourblind myself, but it's nice to know they have accommodated for everyone.
@Hellbringer1975 "A biased review"? What possible bias could I be holding against this game? Unless of course, pointing out the game freezes every few seconds is bias.

Re: WWE 2K19 - The New King of the Ring
@johncalmc He actually is, but only if you get the deluxe edition unfortunately

Re: Review: Way of the Passive Fist (PS4)
@Rudy_Manchego that's exactly it. The concept sounds neat but in execution, it leaves a lot to be desired

Re: Review: Leaving Lyndow (PS4)
@delukze Its has trophies but no Platinum. You can get every single trophy in your initial playthrough and it would probably only take you an hour.

Re: Review: NBA Playgrounds (PS4)
@ShadowofSparta I definitely think there's enough here to complement 2K. It's a solid change of pace from the insanely detailed realism of 2K17.
Re: PS4 Pro Requires Very Little Investment from Developers
Maybe this will help Colin Moriarty to stop complaining about how tough the Pro is going to be on developers.

@LieutenantFatman I believe there is a Vita release in the works.

Re: Review: 7 Days to Die (PS4)
@Vaedur Why is it crappy?
Re: Review: 7 Days to Die (PS4)
@dryrain The game is fundamentally broken. The game freezes up every few seconds.
Re: Review: 7 Days to Die (PS4)
@thatguyEZ I was really excited by the premise too, it's a shame it just doesn't function properly.
Re: Review: 7 Days to Die (PS4)
@brendon987 It's the perfect YouTuber bait game. Expect to see people playing this while screaming unnecessarily for the next few months.
Re: Review: Mighty No. 9 (PS4)
@brendon987 I believe it's $19 if you purchase it digitally.
Re: Review: Mighty No. 9 (PS4)
@belmont it does support cross buy across PS4, PS3 and Vita.
