It's not the save files that kill you, it's the full games if you decide to download the digital versions. Save files tend to be very small, so you could put tons of them on a 4GB card and not even make a dent. But if you plan to download games, especially the retail releases that venture up to 3+GB, you're gonna need a bigger card than 4GB.
It would probably help if I played my PS3, but since I got it at launch, I think I've played it about 4 times. Kinda odd since I love the PSP and Vita so much, but the PS3 just doesn't do much for me.
I'm definitely going to go back and play through Mutant Blobs Attack again after I get all of these Vita review finished. That game just freaking rocked!
I agree Sammy. I wasn't sure what to expect initially, but once I saw how they'd mixed in the classic LBP gameplay into the various control functions of the Vita, it was clear that it was just the shot in the arm the game needed. I can't wait to play the entire game and see how it turned out.
Picked this up at launch, but haven't really had time to play it yet. I can definitely say that I'll make time to go through it once all these Vita reviews are finished. Great review Patrick!
In truth, the only Vita launch title that has disappointed me was Army Corps of Hell. The other 15 games I've picked up are all solid. Now if I can just find time to finish them all. LOL
Not sure why, but I'm just not into these AR games. In fact, about the only AR-style game I've played that I've actually liked was Spirit Hunters Inc. I guess I at least need to try these Vita AR games out.
The Gamestop here sold out completely of both wi-fi and 3G Vita systems. Will be getting more in on Monday or Tuesday. My buddy waited a day too late to grab him one.
This is a beautiful game and it has an amazing sense of speed. The load times are annoying, but not a deal-breaker, by any stretch. I haven't taken it out in multiplayer yet, so I'll save that for after I get this group of launch title reviews finished up.
I can't see this game working very well with complete touchscreen controls, especially the level of precision needed with the analog sticks during the rocket flights. I think it's right where it belongs on Vita.
Good news indeed. I'm loving all of the indie support the Vita is getting and I can't wait to see what the guys at Nnooo have up their sleeves for the system.
I don't get many surprises anymore, so these games were a definite surprise. Loved every second of this Vita release and I fully plan to go back and finish the PS3 one as soon as we get through this barrage of Vita reviews.
If you don't own some iteration of Rayman Origins, go now and grab it. One of the truly great platformers of the last decade. And if you want to see what little Vita can really do, fire up this game on it.
Yes I think Push Square users will like the Vita. It's a remarkable little game system. Loads of power under the hood and tons of control variations. Take a look at Rayman Origins running on that baby and I think you'll see what I mean.
Personally, I think people are getting a bit worked up just as they did when 3DS struggled during its first several months on the market. This is going to be a long race, and there will likely be many ups and downs along the way. The smartphone market has changed the dynamics of the portable gaming market, so this race is going to be about the long haul, not the short run.
Resistance should help a little when it hits in a few months, but Sony has got to keep the big names coming and coming frequently. I also see a price drop coming later in the year for Vita, at least it had better come.
I have two words for Sony Japan...Monster Hunter. Besides, Gravity Rush seems more like a title that would appeal to western gamers than Japanese players.
I was the same way waiting for UPS to deliver my Vita back in December. I bet I checked the UPS tracking update about 1000 times between the Sunday night it shipped out from Hong Kong and Tuesday night when it arrived. LOL
@Paranoimia - What might be "irrelevant" to one person, might very well be a deal-breaker to others. Every game system I've ever owned has negatives to it, and Vita is no different. While I've enjoyed the hell out of the system over the past month and a half, it's not perfect. (I can't believe I just said that)

Was already going to get this tomorrow, but now I get it for free. YAY! Can't wait to take this one for a spin.
Re: Review: Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus (PlayStation Vita)
I played a bit of it last night and it is very cool. Great review Chris!
Re: Sony Reveals PS3's Most Earned Platinum Trophies
Over the years I've put in over 1000 hours on the PSP Hot Shots Golf original release. The platinum trophy in this Vita game will be mine.
Re: Review: Escape Plan (PlayStation Network - Vita)
Great review Mike. Controls are a bit tweaky from time to time, but overall this is a really fun and unique game. Definitely worth the $15.
Re: Round Table: Let's Talk About PlayStation Vita
You'd better get Mutant Blobs Attack and quick!
Re: Sumioni Inks the PlayStation Network on 20th March
Nope, this is a Vita-only title.
Re: Ridge Racer Hits North America on 13th March
You should have been the one to pay $75 for the JP release only to find out it had so little content.

Re: Sony Reveals PS3's Most Earned Platinum Trophies
If Hot Shots Golf: World Iinvitational has a platinum trophy, I can guarantee you I'll have it eventually. Everything else, I can't make any promises.

Re: Round Table: Let's Talk About PlayStation Vita
I played LBP Vita at E3 and I loved it. It was even better than the console releases to me.
Re: Sly Cooper Sneaks Through Time this Fall on PS3
Sly Cooper to Vita please.
Re: Review: Journey (PlayStation Network)
Bring it to Vita.
Re: Sony to Announce New PS Vita Titles Next Week
I wonder if we'll get a US and EU conference before E3.
Re: Review: Uncharted: Golden Abyss (PlayStation Vita)
Picked this up at launch, but haven't really had time to play it yet. I can definitely say that I'll make time to go through it once all these Vita reviews are finished. Great review Patrick!
Re: Gravity Rush to Score DLC in Japan
I like seeing all of this DLC available for these Vita games. I can't wait to play some more Gravity Rush. Loved the JP demo.
Re: Rumour: UK Vita Launch Sales 75% Lower Than PSP's
So does that mean that most of those additional 650,000 units were from North America?
Re: Vita Sales Stand at 1.2 Million Worldwide
Almost exactly what I had expected it to sell in NA and EU. My Vita and I are very happy about this.
Re: Uncharted: Golden Abyss is UK's Number One Game
Wow, I figured Hot Shots Golf would be right behind Uncharted: Golden Abyss.
Re: Review: Daxter (PlayStation Portable)
I really enjoyed this game. Felt like a combination of Crash Bandicoot and Jak & Daxter.
Re: Feature: The Reaction to PlayStation Vita
u herd rite.

Re: Feature: The Reaction to PlayStation Vita
If you guys haven't tried out Mutant Blobs Attack yet, do so asap.
Re: Feature: The Reaction to PlayStation Vita
I stayed up in bed last night playing Rayman Origins until almost 2am before I finally realized what time it was and went to sleep.
Re: Feature: The Reaction to PlayStation Vita
I loved it the first time I held it at E3 and I love it even more now. I haven't played a system this much since I got my Super Famicom in 1990.
Re: Review: Lumines Electronic Symphony (PlayStation Vita)
I can't think of many puzzlers that I'd say were worth $40, but Meteos and Lumines are two that I do.

Re: Review: Lumines Electronic Symphony (PlayStation Vita)
Best Lumines game so far. Online would have been nice, but I've always enjoyed this game far more as a single-player experience.

I'm on this one on day one!

I downloaded the PS3 game the other night and this blows even it away.

Re: Japanese Sales Charts: Gravity Rush Unable to Stop Dwindling Vita Sales
I thought Sony confirmed that Capcom were working on a PS Vita Monster Hunter title that's due to hit within the next several months.

Re: Talking Point: Sony's Bold Move with Vita First Edition Bundle
Might spread a little word of mouth this week, but this package is mostly for the impatient gamers (like me) who can't wait. LOL
Re: PlayStation Vita's US Ad Campaign Goes for the Kill
Needs more Kevin Butler. And fast!
Re: Review: Hot Shots Golf: World Invitational (PlayStation Vita)
This game is just so hard to put down. I'm sure I'll be playing this one for a long time to come.
Re: Sony Prices PS Vita Download Titles Low
Can't wait to get my hands on Escape Plan again. That is one freaky cool game.
Re: Feature: Must-Have PlayStation 3 Games - Corbie's Picks
I didn't create VC-Reviews, I just worked for the site back when it was still on its own. Good times!
