@Punished_Boss I completely agree. Its just now having a long lingering death while they shove indie games on it. There won't be any AAA titles and eventually it will be pulled from sale completely.
Bloomberg speculates that Sony's stock jump may be related to rumoured plans for spinning off its entertainment division, rather than having anything to do with the Xbox One reveal.
@get2sammyb Really coz I have been watching amazon and checking out reviews and all I see is crap getting released! With nothing but Killzone on the horizon worth maybe looking at!
Oh no I was wrong there was the fantastic Wake Up Club!! That was sarcasm btw!!
The vita so far has been a complete waste of money!
Wait to see the bloated price before I make any decisions about where I am spending my money. At this point I am not convinced that a next gen will get enough momentum so sell the units they will want to shift and after PSVita's lack of support for the last 6 months or so I kinda wonder what sony will do if PS4 fails to takeoff immediately. I dont really fancy spending £400 plus, then finding that I can buy maybe 1 decent game every 12 months.
I gathered that!! What I am wondering is when will all these games arrive and what are they going to be. My vita does little more than gather dust!!
Was looking at Amazon.co.uk and they have a grand total of 2 games listed for Vita. Personna 4 & Sly Cooper. Other than that nothing. Seriously tempted to trade it in at Game for some instore credit!
@Dambuster yes that's exactly it I am feeling the sting of buying the most powerful handheld console to be ever made!
Or maybe it's that I am regretting spending my hard earned money on a portable console that is failing to sell and looks like its gonna end up going end up in an early grave!
No chance I would buy a PS4 if they blocked used games! Saying that I probably won't buy a PS4 anyway no matter how much it costs or how powerful it is!!
@nathanuc1988 Why will it not have much effect on Playstation? Is it suddenly not owned by sony?
Pretty certain I read a few months ago that Sony's Playstation devision had made a loss of something like $50 million due to falling sales in both PS3 & PSP!
@Gemaurto don't take my statement so literally. I meant that because of a small user base less and less AAA titles will be invested in. I am quite aware there games coming at some point. A price drop and cleverly scheduled games helped 3DS, I am not so sure that just a priced top is enough anymore.
I honestly can't see anything saving it from what I am reading. I kept reading people posting that once Assassins Creed & Call Of Duty come out sales would increase. But the reviews to both these games have been less than glowing. I keep reading about "It just needs Monster Hunter" yet still haven't read if there will actually be a monster hunter for it.
"A price drop will save it", but when is that coming because it doesn't look like anytime soon. At this point I am wondering whether it will save Vitas fortunes, because with a user base that is only increasing by maybe 40,000 per week worldwide how many developers are going to want to invest a small fortune in AAA titles for it!! No new AAA games on the horizon and less reason for Joe Average to invest in the flagging console!
Sell my vita whilst there is still some demand and I get at least a fair portion of what I paid(isn) back. Wait and I am stuck with an obsolete piece of plastic!
@Squiggle55 I would rather have my money invested in a system I believe will be supported for longer than another 12 months so now seems like a good time to trade it in for some credit against Wii U or 3DS or maybe some more goodies for my PS3. The week sales are not just Japan, I was chatting to one of the staff in the local Game store who was telling me they have struggled to sell Vita since it launched!
Looking at the figures over the past months and assuming that the rest of the world is also struggling I think the time is right to trade in my Vita and games. Shame as its an excellent system but I cant see things improving now even with a price reduction.
@Chrisarsenalsav All the titles you listed for the Vita also have versions for PS3. Its hardly an incentive to stump up a few hundred quid to buy a handheld!! In fact if you didn't buy the vita you could afford to buy all of those titles for your PS3 and still have change for a couple of pints of Lager!!

@get2sammyb Yes I just discovered that and I am sure they have timed it to prove me wrong about just crap being released!!

Re: Talking Point: How Will the PS4's Controller Change the Way That We Play?
Imagine how expensive its gonna be to replace one of these when the current Dual Shock is about £45.

@jeccross The difference is the xbox sells really well in the US and Europe. Vita appears to be not managing that either.
