Re: Layers of Fear (PS5) - A Collection That Brilliantly Reframes the Series

I'm around halfway through the Layers of Fear 1 content and thoroughly enjoying it at the moment. I like the whole portmanteau aspect with the new over arching content (it's particularly effective at keeping things a little more interesting if you've already played the original releases) and the visual and sound design is great. Great value I'd say.

It is essentially what many would rather derisively refer to as a 'walking simulator' and of course how scary you find this kind of thing is fairly subjective but for me I'm finding it more creepy I'd say in a kind of relaxing, cozy way which is a nice change of pace.

@Bagwag82 Exactly my thoughts watching this, I liked when there were loads of 'GTA clones' back in the PS2/360 era. Now, despite a large gap in the market with it being so long since GTA V, there's barely any. Not all of them were great back then but I still got quite a bit of fun from them. Open world games seem to have gone in a different direction in terms of setting etc. How's about a sequel to Sleeping Dogs? I thought that was a genuinely great game, loved it.
