@PsBoxSwitchOwner yes I agree, I don't see the point in rushing to pay full price for a game everyone has played so many times already with different coat of paint, especially as it will be in the bargain bin soon enough.
I don't think it will ever get 2nd or 1st. Games these days are marketed to have most sales at or very close to release and then everyone moves on to the next thing. This is a play once and sell game, no multiplayer and no real point to replay as the story is fixed and the same every playthrough, so no reason for people to hold on to the game. There is already a glut of 2nd hand copies that will diminish new sales, the Ps4 userbase isn't going to grow any more, so i think there will only be low volume, especially as PS5 is out soon and attention will switch to the new PS5 games.
Actually I see being in 3rd place a failure for this game, it should/could have easily sold more than Spiderman or GoW. The first game was a huge critical and commercial success and there was a much larger audience for the release of the 2nd game. TLOU is arguably the key Playstation game this and last gen, like Halo for xbox, people associate Last Of Us as the standout title, so I think only being 3rd, especially behind God Of War isn't great. This article is spinning it positively, but I'm not sure 3rd would be the target ND or Sony, or even the fans would have expected TLOU2 to end up after playing the first game.
@joehod I'm also waiting to hear about UHD Dolby Atmos support. It's disappointing that games won't support Atmos as Sony are trying to push their own niche 3D sound format, hopefully they'll licence Atmos for movies otherwise it will be another benefit that the new xbox will have over the PS5 as it supports Atmos for both movies and games and will work with all the Atmos enabled sound systems.
I loved the first but every gameplay video has lost my interest more and more, I no longer care about it, the demo videos so far just haven't sold me on the sequel. I will wait and see what the reviews are like.
@Hootnoodle you can't unsubscribe, you pay upfront and then can't get a refund. Due to offers in the past I'm locked into PSPlus until 2021. That's probably why the service is such a waste of money now, they think people are either a) locked in for a long time b) forced to have it for online or c) have games in the rental catalogue they don't want to lose access to so think they can now get away with throwaway garbage each month. If I wasn't locked into a subscription I would have ended it already, and be put off getting a PS5.
I thought that was absolutely brilliant, Fillion fits the role perfectly well, his mannerisms and likeness to Drake make him ideally suited. The switch to over the shoulder 3rd person during the start of the fight scene was a nice touch and really made me want to play through the series again. I really hope something comes of this project, either a series of short fan films or a full length feature film.
The scorpio is not a new gen. Phil Spencer has said 'no one gets left behind', and 'there will be no exclusives for scorpio' multiple times. All the games will work on xbone, one s and scorpio. MS might want to market it as a new generation to distance themselves from the failures of the xbone, but if you've just bought an xbox and had a short gen with a drought of good games, who exactly are they going to sell the thing to?
I'm perfectly happy with short games as long as they are priced accordingly. Captain Toad is a recent relatively short game and Nintendo quite rightly decided to set the retail price lower so it was great value for money. I'd never pay full price for a game with less than 10 hours gameplay, if it really is that short the price will drop fast anyway as the used game market will be flooded with copies within weeks of release.

This is pure clickbait and has no real info.

The more I read about this game the less interested I get about buying it.
