I don't treat any of the consoles as number 1,2 or 3. I buy consoles because ai like the idea of variety nothing more. Xbox games are generally cheaper 2nd hand than Sony's so I buy them. I like Sony's console, I like Mircosoft and Nintendo for all different reasons but I certainly don't think of them in terms of better or worse! I'm a gamer and in some respespects a collector (have games going back to the Atari age). I like the variety of having multi consoles and exclusives. Halo Xbox, Uncharted PlayStation, Mario Nintendo. All these companies aren't poor and none of them are going anywhere soon and with the advent of this stupid digital era , prices will go up anyway regardless of competition or buyouts. They aren't in it to please consumers, they are there to make money! I really couldn't give a monkeys about console wars and buyouts, just quality games which will probably suffer as a result of all this fighting and court cases.
It's it me or do Sony continue to miss the point with what their fans really want in a handheld? What's the point in this new portable? You can already download the streaming app for free and run it on your mobile...... For free! So why but yet another useless expensive piece of kit? Then there's the fact that it's pretty much useless outside of the home (if your internet is any good that is!) as the experience I've had with remote play has been got and miss at best. I absolutely can't play at work; I've tried many times, it's useless on the network (without wi-fi). Isn't that the point of portable? Most people have more than one TV so if one's being used then you use the 2nd one surely? This would have been ok if it had had an option to download a few gigs of a game to play outside natively or connected to ps± to do something similar but this.... What's the point is it's already available.... And I say it again, for free! There a huge following for the Vita and fans want something like that. This idea is just lame sorry and this is coming from a handheld fan. I have 6 PSPs, a vita, 2 Switches, an Evercade (look it up) and some old school retro handhelds. Not for me
