Re: Sony Won't Allow Fortnite Cross-Play Because It Believes That PS4 Offers the Best Experience

Tilt_mode

I apologize in advance for the profanity, but the feels are real.

This is just a long line of consistent from Sony. They can eat a fat one. They have their half-dozen exclusives keeping fans 'happy' but mark my words they will end up dead last in the long run.

ALL these other platforms and even (Sony) developers want to be team players, it IS the direction modern gaming is heading, with cross-platform and what not: and with Sony being elitist dickwads and not even coming to bat- nobody is going to want anything to do with them in 5-10 years when the industry has changed and Sony is the stubborn company that couldn't adapt.

Re: PlayStation Celebrates 500 Million Console Sales With Limited Edition PS4 Pro

Its a bit ironic thanking their loyal players [consumers] with yet another unique pro edition. ..That you can buy for hundreds. Dont get me wrong I love the new looks of most of these, and I dont know maybe Im jaded or jealous, but what about the people like myself who actually bought your pro console already? I feel at a disadvantage having an original. Dont thank your "loyal fans" by offering to sell them something for several hundred dollars that they probably already have! Update your dashboard. Fix your "psnow" system. And for the love of ALL gamers quite being [weiners] about crossplay!

Re: Poll: What Do You Think of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4?

Tilt_mode

I'm not paying 60$ for a Call of Duty Battle Royal. No way.

BR is already getting bland and obviously the market is oversaturated with it as is. I hate to see where things are going to be in several months when BO4 drops.

If anything it should come as DLC, its simply not worth the value otherwise. And for god's sake do something different!! Make it end game content...where the second to last man standing is the "boss" and after being killed drops unique high grade specialty loot for the Last Man standing. Idk I don't get paid for it, but why... WHY rehash something that's been done 100 times already AND show up to the party several months late anyway?

As this poll shows, and anybody with their finger even slightly on the video game pulse already knows- nobody wants that. It's not to late. Good news is the games not out; you can still save face. Look at it as having an amazing DLC on your hands, just add in a fully fleshed out campaign, preferably with some rpg thrown in, and PEOPLE WILL BE HAPPY!

I would gladly skip the annual CoD release this year [that I no longer care about anyway], and give you guys the time you need to fix your mistake and make a better game..... You can have my 60$ next year if you come through, or you can have 0$ now if you decide to go through with this incredibly stupid and greedy endevour. (and probably forever honestly- there are so many other games, especially shooters, to choose from nowadays.)

Your business model isnt going to work. Do it right, dont rip us off, or you don't get our money. Plenty of other options these days.

Re: Rumour: Call of Duty: Black Ops IIII Cans Campaign, Adds Battle Royale

I am much more interested in a fully fledged 100% Single player, story-driven Call of Duty. A solid go-to shooter without the toxic online multiplayer community. This would also be a great entery point for people new to the series or those who want to hone their skills but might be intimidated or otherwise just not want to compete against other living/breathing players.

Re: Rumour: Alleged PlayStation 5 Details Make Their Way Online

Tilt_mode

Oh my goodness, I was just telling somebody on Reddit the other day that they were crazy for holding out for the PS5 already! And two days later there's news on it lol. I am surprised. It seems far to early with the Pro just dropping into the market and PSVR still trying to get a strong footing. I guess if this is true tho, intergrating VR into the console would get it in a lot more people's hands and give it the foundation it needs to really take off, so who knows?

In my opinion I don't even want the PS5 this year. Or probably even next. I seriously already have half a dozen games going, with two dozen more in my backlog, and big titles like God Of War, Spiderman, and Kingdom Hearts 3 on the horizon I dont see it slowing down soon. I would be okay with a 2020 release, which also gives developers more time to get aquainted with the hardware and work out bugs and put some polish on things instead of rushing it out the door to make launch. I dont mind the news and the hype in the meantime tho!

Re: Watch Far Cry 5 Video, Score 20% PSN Discount

Tilt_mode

I was just complaining last week about the prices of their services, now this is the 2nd 20% off code they have offered in as many weeks. If they continue this I'll consider it a fair trade!

Too bad I missed the MLB code last week [I was going to use it on FC5] I snagged the FC5 one today, that I was going to use for God of War. Now I'm not sure whether to use it now, or wait or wait...hmmm....

Re: Review: Burnout Paradise Remastered (PS4)

To answer your question- EA is thinking dollar signs like they always are! They've quickly become the least respected game publisher out there. [Bungle pulling in a close 2nd] Their greed knows no bounds, and worse it seems player feedback just falls on deaf ears. This leads me to believe consumers are still buying the product. It's like a baby crying because it's bedtime, but then they're sleeping in your arms before you make it to the crib. It leaves a really bad taste in your mouth, especially when it happens over and over, like being tricked or betrayed. It's really too bad..15 years ago I loved EA, I remember starting up a game or seeing a spot on TV, and saying "EA- It's in the game!" Alomg with them. Their name was a sure sign of polish amd entertainment. Honestly I think The Sims strated all this. Releasing 50 million content packs with holy moly new deck chairs! And wow, self-cleaning dish washers...oh for only 19.99 each!? What a steal! Kathy McCrabpants and her book club are going to love this! And it sold. It sold like crazy. So they went even harder with Sims 2, Sims 3, microtansactions, loot boxes, etc etc.

They dug themselves this hole, but consumers keep throwing money in it. They are getting bad press and negative feedback but banking off all of it at the same time.

For all the DLC you get with this one (Brunout) I didn't think it was a bad deal and didn't bat an eye at the price point. COD games that are 8+ years old are still being sold for nearly full price. GTA V is also. That is what gets me. After a full year of release no game should be more than 50% it's original price. No other product on the market holds its value for as long as video games do.

Re: Sci-Fi Platformer Planet Alpha Announced for PS4

Loving the visuals and overall feel to this. Definitely one for me to watch out for. Personally I was over the retro-8bit-poly look two decades ago! Great for some [quick] nostalgia but the FLOOD of titles copying the already washed up formula is dizzying. The crisp clean bold color palette here is actually refreshing, and the concept seems unique. Can't wait to hear more!

Re: God of War PS4 Pro Bundle Announced

I actually really dig this. I like the two-tone grey + like green combo. The decals are only okay, but I'm sure they would grow on me and hold a bit more meaning after a playthrough. I currently have the Star Wars Battlefront 2 Pro, wish I could somehow directly trade it for this one lol. Either way I am pumped for this game, and surprisingly sooner than I expected too!

Re: Ubisoft Focusing on Adding More DLC to Assassin's Creed Origins

@Gamer83
Spot on, you're right. PS2 wasn't perfect and I'm sure I have my rose tinted glasses on. I would probably start missing the DLC if it went away for good.

I have Witcher 3 for Xbox but haven't got around to it. I have so many games in my backlog, and really prefer PS over my other systems. I have HAD also, played it up to ~level 10, shortly before the first cauldron... then MHW came out, and Persona 5 went on sale...and yeah...lol.

I am playing like 12 games right now, and can't put down any of them! I make a little progress each day, and convince myself it's make me a more well-rounded gamer playing all these different games, but honestly I'm dreaming of Japanese dinosaurs with guns and swords driving cars and kicking soccer balls saving the world using their RPG elements one temple at a time lmao.

Re: Ubisoft Focusing on Adding More DLC to Assassin's Creed Origins

After typing out my first comment, I remembered an article I read yesterday about Kingdoms giant day 1 patch, and it got me second guessing what I originally said. Now I am afraid if publishers go the route of DLC instead of MTX, hopefully they dont withhold meaningful content just to release it later as an add-on at an additional cost.

Let's just got back to PS2 days, when a game wasn't released until it's finished and final version. Can I just pay 60$ for one full and complete game? Is that still a thing? /s

Re: Sony Officially Details PS4 Firmware Update 5.50

Tilt_mode

Happy to hear about super sampling. I have a UHD 4k display I play on, but it's also the only TV with cable, so I sometimes switch the PS to a smaller TV with lower resolution and have a movie on in the background.

Seriously though, what we really need, or I guess what I would really like to see implemented is a dang WISH LIST!! It's available through mobile but that really doesn't do us much good. It sucks only being able to put 3-4 items in my cart, especially when I know I won't make the jump for another week or two on them.. just give us a place to store them and drool over them until purchase. It baffles me why after nearly a decade this still isn't an option.

I already voiced my opinion on this in another thread earlier today, but I sure hope Sony has some plans in the works for their online service. They jacked up the (already inflated) price for a service that is quickly QUICKLY becoming the least valuable of the big 3. (Microsoft, Nintendo, Sony) Look at what Microsoft is doing with their Xbox Gold service and it's easy to see why so many are losing faith in Sony.

Re: February's PS Plus Games Are Available Now

Tilt_mode

On a side note, why such a delay in release? I know, I know, it's always the first Tuesday of the month, but maybe it's time to rethink this? My free gold game this month has been downloaded and in my library for nearly a week already... add to that the recent announcement triple A titles are being realeased via the gold sub and Sony's hike in price for the same service, which was already the most expensive of the 3, and the value of Plus is looking pretty frickin grim these days

Re: February's PS Plus Games Are Available Now

Tilt_mode

To those still on the fence about Knack, I say give it a shot! I'm not sure why it's getting so much hate. I played it through to the end and it was really fun and satisfying. If you are into action platformers you will love it. Controls are tight, graphics are good, and I think it hits a sweet spot diffuculty wise. (Its pretty easy.)

I played Time for about 45min-hour shortly after the switch release and it just didn't really pull me in. I want to like those types of games but after a short time of the most action being me moving a rock they tend to get dull. Guess it largely just depends on your mood while playing. I plan to grab it, but I'm afraid it's just gonna sit in my dusty backlog which is quickly becoming an abyss. I'm still working through Persona 5, and Monster Hunter, and have save files for Darksiders 2, and Diablo going as well. Not to mention Destiny 2, FIFA, NBA2K, and NFS on call when I just wanna jump into the action.

I haven't played through Horizon or AC: Origins to my liking yet either...

Stop with the good games already!! My backlog has a backlog, wtf!
