I've got an early model PS4 500Gb and it's performed exactly as it did before the update. I've watched Netflix, used the TV search feature (which searches all streaming services without having to load each one and search), used the store, downloaded Mafia II, played Hitman 2 and also F1 2021 with a friend online in co-op career and had absolutely no issues so it doesn't seem to be older consoles exclusively
I don't understand why people are boycotting this. I have PS+, like most of us do. If my playstation is on, I'm online. What difference does it make? Do you turn off the PlayStation's internet connection to play a solo campaign? I bet you don't! Pretty much everything is online these days, it's the way of the world. If I'm playing a game that's online, be it solo or multiplayer I doubt I'd even realise! I also doubt you'd even be complaining if this article hadn't baited you into thinking it was an issue! Get over it, play it if you want and don't bother if you don't!
Are we surprised!? It's clear that Rockstar don't really care what the actual fans want. I'm not even sure they're serious about GTA VI as the sheep are still lapping up V. I used to work in software retail and it amazed me how many people were still buying it. I wasn't overly impressed RDR2 either and on that note, I'm done with Rockstar!
